I have 2 human characters that use medium armor.
A ranger and a thief.
I have human t3 cultural on my ranger and it is currently soul bound.
I’m pretty sure with the change I’ll be able to use that skin on my thief, my question is does the armor itself with the runes I have in it become account bound and able to be used by both characters, or does it remain soul bound on my ranger?

If the armor is ascended, it will be account bound. If you just want to copy the skin, you can do so through the wardrobe.

If you unlocked T3 human MEDIUM armor, you will not have unlocked T3 human HEAVY or LIGHT armor in the wardrobe. 1785g to fill up your wardrobe with Cultural Armors.

No, the armor t3 cultural on my ranger is only exotic, so it will still be soul bound?
But I’ll be able to use the skin on my thief, I’ll just have to get more exotic medium armor and runes… Ok thanks =)

I’m going to assume the armor will still remain soulbound. In fact, I’m pretty certain except for account bound legendaries they may keep a soulbound-on-equip mechanic (while removing soulbound restrictions upon purchase or acquisition, like ascended drops from Fractals and ascended gear bought on one character). However with the change it will unlock those skins in the wardrobe and instead of 100g+ to get the skin again, you will only need 5-6 transmutation charges (depending on how many pieces you want) which is 18 Transmutation Stones. So even if your T3 isn’t account bound after the change, you should be fine in transmuting it onto your thief.

tip: make ascended gear. it costs rly low for leatherworker.
