Guild Wars 2

I’m just curious guild wars 2 creators said they will support this game with free updates anyone have any clue what they might be like?

Not at all, i think its too soon anyway. The game has been out for one month only anyways.

I would guess something similar to the free updates to GW1 (ie. Sorrows Furnace, GW:Beyond etc.). So new areas to explore, new dynamic events, personal story arcs, maybe new heart quests.

And going along with it new armor and weapons, maybe new skills and some updates to the mechanics.

Basically small expansions.

In GW1, they had small content updates that were free. War in Kryta, Hearts of the North, Winds of Change, etc. They added all new quests, stories, NPCs, weapons, costumes, and heroes (computer controlled party members). Plus there was holiday events if you counts those which add new quests, NPCs, changes to scenery, and costumes.

I’m guessing the first new thing in the game is going to be the Halloween event which they’ve been hinting at since before launch.

As for some permanent content I don’t know. They said one form of new content would be extra dynamic events within different zones. Not sure how they’ll advertise that though. “come to queensdale for 3 brand new events” seems a bit funny to me.

I’m guessing they will add in Polymock as part of one of the free content updates.

I don’t really care, I just desperately want to see personal and guild rankings in WvWvW because it is totally pointless to join at the moment.

Oh and, well, I’d like to see other new features like character recreation.

But we will have at least new skins, items, level cap, maybe skills and traits, quests, events.

I hope they add new DE’s without telling anyone where, maybe add some story with hints but no definite information, change the world a bit. I would love to be running around somewhere familiar and find something new happening nearby without knowing. Giving exact places etc ruins immersion.

I wouldn’t worry about new content they can’t even keep the content they have now working steady!

Tokens you pay gems for to reset your DR counter, that is the new content coming.

You know, it’s getting to be where someone can’t even ask a simple question anymore without a bunch of negativity raining down on their threads. If you can’t answer the questions, please don’t jump into to say: “doesn’t matter, game is broken, hurr;” because it’s really getting old.

On topic, I’m personally hoping that they add more dynamic events or open up some more explorable areas.
