In the US some states require sales tax collected on all Internet purchases and I believe a nationwide law is being considered to repeal the tax free status of Internet purchases nation wide, meaning states no longer have to pass a specific law about taxing Internet purchases.

And of course EU has it’s VAT.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

RIP City of Heroes

Tax on gem Purchasing is absolutely necessary, infact it should really be 100% of the 30% levy…. What makes absolutely NO SENSE, is the tax on exchanging Gems back into game Currency. There should be no tax on the exchanger at all. …thus more would actually start exchanging their RMT Gems for Gold, get a lot MORE gold, and eventually everyone would be a bit happier with the outcome. ….well everyone except for the illegal 3rd party blackmarket gold-sellers who currently have no Taxes to pay because they do it all under the table.
