That was extremely informative! It was very helpful to see the parts that always stick me up in a lower and clearer view. Thank you!

Hint that helped a guildie to overcome this tower in just 8+ hours was to increase FPS by reducing quality. After switching to subsampling and possibly some other minor tweaks, he made to the top in couple of attempts.

OMG – took me 2-3 hours with 4 different characters and I am by no means a jump puzzle expert. I can’t imagine…I would have gone Mad (King).

but i have a question…

i always die at the “leap of faith” because the platform i’m suppose to land on (that you showed in your video) is covered in the “green goo” already.

is that because i’m getting to the leap of faith “too late”, like.. i’m taking too long to get there? Like does it mean i did the earlier parts of the puzzle “too slow”?

Or… am i suppose to wait a long time and eventually the “green goo” will go away? and stop covering that platform??

It means you’re taking too long to get there. If there is already goo it’s too late. You really do have to hurry to that point. If you make it beyond that, at let in my experience, you can slow down slightly and really be intentional on the last ten jumps or so.

You need to get there sooner. Try to use paths that run closer to the tower (right side of the screen), as that is a shorter distance. Also, make sure not to stand still for a full second or more at any point.
If you’ve already landed on the cog and the green goo starts to cover it, there is still a small window of time to jump off onto the next platform, even though skeletal arms are already trying to grab you.

That’s the hard timer catching up to you. You’re probably needing to shave off about 1-2 seconds of your time. A good way to guage it: if the debris that makes the path AFTER the big leap is already down before you land, you’re probably too late. That debris should fall when or shortly before you faceplant.

If the debris that makes the path is already down, jump onto the debris. You have to jump maximum distance, but if you can land on that, you save yourself a second or two to jump onto the cog before the green catches you. You’ll have to make the next few jumps fairly quickly, but then you can slow down quite a bit to make sure you get to the top staircase in time.

thanks you two! i will try it faster. i thought (after i got to the second stair case) it was “okay” to slow down, because it seemed the green goo was rising slower… and so i always started taking some time on some of those jumps..

but! i know how i should rush (like i do in the beginning) and kinda act like the green goo is still chasing me even when it seems its not so close behind anymore.

i’ll take the suggests you two gave and see if it helps me get there fast enough to beat the goo!

After you finish it once with a character you’ll only get bags from the chest at the end, if memory serves.
