Allow any cool effects on the legendary armor to stay active even if you change the armor’s skin.

This would allow players to get a more unique look but continue to show off the cool effects of their legendary armor, instead of everyone looking the same.

I’m sure a lot of players like me find the legendary greatswords less appealing simply due to their popularity. I don’t want my character to look generic. Looking unique is more important to me than showing off wealth, but there are still reasons why I’d want a legendary, like the stat swapping and the flashy effects.

I really like this concept, although I’m not 100% sure how i would do it from a technical stand point.

You know how with the legendary greatswords, you leave special footsteps? If you transmute them to another skin you’d still get the footsteps. It shouldn’t be difficult.

I think a medium armor set with a ninja mask and neon lasers coming out of the shoulders would be awesome. There’d also be a glow around your character based off the dyes you use.

That scenario is very different. For it, the shape of the greatsword has no bearing on the animation being added after reskinning. We have no idea what animations, if any, the legendary armor will have. As an example, say they create a hue right around the edge of the armor. If you were to transmute the skin, it’s going to have a different shape. The way they set up the hue may not be as simple as “right off wherever the armor is” for many reasons. I think it’s reasonable to assume some of the animation is going to be depedent on the armor layout, unlike the footprints being independent of the skin.

Well I’m suggesting it a few months before release so hopefully they have time to consider it before things are set in stone.
