I could not but help dig up the blog post on adventure that excited the hell out of me about them:

For the article:

In the early, conceptual phases of Adventures design, we examined some of our more static content typesthings like skill challenges, jumping puzzles, and renown regionsin an effort to determine where they were successful and where we thought they could be improved. We felt that these types of content lacked replay value, had limited ties to the game world and its story, and didn’t do enough to encourage social interaction. Our open-world event structure didn’t make it clear which activities were available to participate in when events weren’t running, which frequently left our world in a state where there were either active events to do or seemingly nothing to do.

Adventures are our answer to these problems. Each Adventure showcases a seemingly simple path to victory that requires strategy, practice, and mastery in order to excel and ultimately achieve success.

If bolded part was the problem that needed you to introduce this adventure system, your implementation has done exactly what that bolded part is and not the solution that you intended to provide.

Adventures lack replay value to a huge number of players otherwise, I still would not show up as #143 in Haywire Punching mess after so many weeks, I’d be in 1000s.

Adventures have limited ties to the game world and its story other than, for example, when some people need drone race to glide off to a mastery point in order to bypass a jump puzzle or to collect scavenger hunt item from TD by purposefully failing the ley line race adventure.

Adventures don’t do enough to encourage social interaction – Do they? Do I speak about my failures in shooting gallery where I earned bronze or simply failing sanctum scramble? Or do I speak about my prowess of completing drone race and earning gold on the first try only to realize I was #212 on the scoreboard? And I still am?

Again from the same article that showcased shooting gallery:

A great example of this is our Shooting Gallery Adventure in Verdant Brink.

Oh yeah. Best adventure ever!
