Trying to do the precursor step 1 for Howler, which requires you to turn into a wolf spirit with a totem and kill ambient creatures, but we can’t find the one needed for Bull Pelt.

I’ve done map 100% 8 times. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ambient bull in vanilla Tyria. So, either they stealth added it to a map or its in one of the new maps somewhere.

Are you sure they didn’t mean to say cow? Checked the wiki and there’s no ambient bull on the list so maybe its a mistype?

No, cuz the only cows that are ambient were in the old borderlands, plus we can’t even use the Wolf Totem in the WvW maps.

Maybe the transform only unlocks if you have the Mastery? I’d go to the Shiverpeaks, possibly Dredgehaunt and look. Maybe the Minotaur is considered a bull?

Editing to add, yes there’s a Minotaur Bull in the Shiverpeaks.

We tried that, and it didn’t work. For one, the wolf transformation is incredibly weak in combat. Second, every other creature thus far has been ambient (white name, dies in one hit no matter what), so I don’t see a reason they’d break the tradition for a single mob.

21/22 for Howl pt.1 and this is a slight annoying.

I’m having the same issue. I have searched all the places I can think of that have cattle/bulls. Queensdale, Diessa, Iron Marches, etc.

An ambient bull… maybe Diessa? I know of green and yellow bulls. White ones though I can’t think of off the top of my head.

Yea, we tried killing all manner of attackable bulls (Yellow or red). Nothing has worked.

Nothing happened, because those bulls are no “ambient” creatures.

There is definately no “Wild Bull” in the entire Game.

Maybe in the Maps, but since they are Warzones, i cant believe there are any bulls. It wouldn’t match with the terrain, too.

There are ambient Bulls in Toxal Bog in Brisban Wildlands, in the area where there’s a bunch of rifts that randomly teleport ambient creatures in and out of existence. I got mine there (along with some other ambients).

There are some south of Beetletum, in Queensdale

There is supposed to be an ambient bull in brisbane in a place called Toxal Bog. They also only show up once in awhile. So they mostly show up from what I have been told after something related to the Thaumanova Reactor. Really hope this helps

As others have said, head to Toxal Bog in Brisban Wildlands. There is an ambient bull that spawns there periodically from the chaos magic. (This is the only place in the entire game where an ambient bull will spawn. Several other critters including raccoons, rats, rabbits, ospreys, spiders and frogs also spawn there, allowing you to get lots of trophies at the same time.)
