The whole community is going nuts because you lack of communication, I think is about time you start communicating so people can stop speculating over this whole ordeal.
You have 1 thread with more than 5000 posts, websites calling on players rage, more and more threads and still nothing and all because of your silence.
Please say something so people can stop speculating including myself.

Their silence speaks volumes. It’s been several days and they’ve basically gone into hiding.

Anet’s tendency to go no-com when people dislike a decision is…irritating, but predictable, given that it’s how they’ve reacted just about every time I’ve seen. Amusingly, if they’d be a more responsive bunch, it might actually improve their sales – especially since, at the moment, the only responses are Gaile’s “I’ll pass it along to the team” air-posts, and John Smith’s “You rang?” mockery. If there were more responses, maybe people would be more inclined to feel that Anet cares, which is…well, that’s pretty much what Gaile tries to do, but I don’t think it works so well if nobody ever says a thing, except for the guy who thought it was a good idea to be mocking.

anything they say will get a “awww man!!” response from someone, so we need to give them a chance to select from the phrases that will receive the least boos.

I for one would say

“Guys, my apologies, we’ve been so busy with E3 and excited to meet new people I admit we made a grave oversight, we want you to know we sincerely love and appreciate our veterans and you are NOT forgotten, we were just discussing all the wonderful things we are about to give to you in the expansion!!”

True, because right now, even one wrong Word or just mispelling one thing can make this entire Rage Explode into a Nuke strong enough to Destroy all of Tyria. Anet needs to be very careful of what they say.

Better to take some time ( especially after the E3 ) than just trow around a Post that could make the entire Situation even worse.

In this case it’s damaging because we’re already seeing people leaving the game on account of it.

If they come back and claim they beheaded the marketing guy, those people who’ve already left won’t see it cause, well, they’ve already left.

Their veteran customer base is getting smaller with every tick of the clock.

Edit: I simply call them traitors , because in the past they admitted hat they will leave GW2 for an other game that offers Arenas + Raids (and generally that the Devs listen to them) and now once more they say that will go back when the game goes F2P.
So the old veteran-royal playerbase mostly is a hoax rumor :P

Actually a lot people has left because of no new updates, PvP balance and other stuff, bringing them back with a 50 dollar tag will be really hard.

Actually a lot people has left because of no new updates, PvP balance and other stuff, bringing them back with a 50 dollar tag will be really hard.

I was referring to the people I’ve seen here in the forums saying, essentially, “that’s it, I’m gone.”

i doubt that, even risen sharks are smart enough to know when to back off. ^.^

They should ATLEAST add a character slot and apolegize to the veterans for leaving them out.
Then they should also admit their greedy mistakes and reconsider this whole thing with the prices and content given for it, 25euro for few items? (character slot should be given to all so veterans paying 50euro can actually play revenant without grinding their heart out or paying 10 more euro), and have great streams with even more content than before to show us what were buying before we actually pre-purchase.

If I choose to leave permanently (which is becoming more likely as time goes on), I’ll probably just stick my gold in the guild bank. I trust my guild leaders to use it wisely.
