I never encountered a Husk with a defiance bar???

Is this a bug or a mistake? how can i complete it?

I also tried this event chain 3-4 times and never encountered a husk with a break bar. I think it is currently bugged.

Same here. I’ve done the entire event chain several times now and I’ve never seen a Husk with a break bar to break for the achievement. I’ve tried letting a Husk get all the way up to the NPC while at the temple cliffs (nothing) and breaking the bar of the Vinetenders (nothing), and I can’t think of anything else.

Has anyone actually completed this achievement that can shed some light on this issue? Or is it definitely a bug?

I remember the husks having break bars in one of the beta weekends. Seems like they got removed, so the achievement is impossible.

I heard it from some beta guy, too, that he did it back then. Guess it’s not possible right now.

Actually, there’s a champ Bark on top of the rock over the Vine. I suppose it’s this one ?

Are you sure that it’s a Husk? Or is it a Mordrem Vinetender (which look like Mordrem Trolls)? If the latter, you’re not really supposed to do anything to it; the Pale Reaver snipers will down it in one or two shots.

Has anyone checked to see whether ANet stealth-patched this bug in the latest update?

I’ve seen the “husk” in question. At the very end of the pale reaver series of events, if you look across the bridge at the vine, on your right across the bridge is a tower of some kind. The champ in question spawns high on that tower, and his position is such that most (possibly all) attacks from ground level can’t reach him. I went there when there was practically nothing there to attack me and couldn’t get up there by jumping, so on to Plan B.

I used gliding to get down there from the canopy with a mesmer and ported up someone (a ranger maybe?). Between the two of us we broke his bar. He was still alive and had absolutely no bar left. I did NOT get the achievement. Apparently this is the wrong guy.

So sorrry . . . I had high hopes for this one.

I also glided down from the Patriarch perch to this ledge with my warrior. Was easily able to break his bar alone, but no achievement. I also managed to do enough damage to get kill contribution when the Pale Reavers shot him down. Didn’t drop anything.

That achieve was for the husks in the sniping section of the meta. Those husks were invulnerable until CC’ed and event required a cc group down to break bars and shooters up to fastly kill them. This was trivialized by killing them while they were spawning (no bar up), tactic that is still widly used, even if not required.
I hope they change or patch out that achiev, it bothers me it’s the only i have left in VB

Yes, still very much impossible.

Are you sure those are the one’s Gaaroth? Maybe a group of people on an empty map can try for that, or tell those in say chat to avoid sniping the husks.

Well, I guess that’s one way to fix the problem. XD Yeah, this issue is apparently now resolved. Shame. I would have liked 5 more AP.

Typical Anet fix. If its not working, delete it. Remembers me of the deleted twilight arbor path.
