Nah. Terrible is when it’s Tuesday and you think you are getting a patch at the regular 9-10AM server time and it hits at 4PM. That’s terrible. This is either you stay up and patch it at midnight, you go to sleep, set an alarm and then patch it at midnight or just do your regular routine, wake up and start playing.

9PM on Thursday is release. For once living in Hawaii has some perks!

Anet only cares about PDT. No other time zone matters. PDT players get a head start playing unless somehow players in other time zones can pull a all nighter.

They care about PDT because they live and work in PDT.

If you want an MMO that revolves around your personal schedule then go find one based in your part of the world.

Though to be fair, even for those of us living in the PDT (to be PST in a little over a week), 12:01 am Friday morning isn’t necessarily easy since many still need to go to either work or school later that day and thus will already be asleep by then.

8am is good for me, I’ll get on a few hours after launch so hopefully it’ll stable by then.
