Hi,
As per title, it seems 30-40% of topics in HoT are currently about the new Revenant class.. Can we get a new Profession category for them, so we can start build-crafting and theorizing specific Revenant stuffs?

I was wondering why they haven’t already put out the Revenant Class forum, would be nice, would cut down on a lot of the threads in this subforum that’s for sure.

Porbably bc we can’t play it yet. That and people who would go there and start creating bilions qq threads about class being op, looking cooler, having better designed traits and so on..

Possibly today we will get info about specializations so revenant threads will be gone anyway

It will either appear when they formally release the Revenant, or it’s profession icon, as putting up the new forum would reveal it’s icon. We already know the icon, but since it was accidentally leaked, ArenaNet won’t acknowledge that we know its there.

Actually the icon showed up in the Revenant PoI, I believe, as we got detailed looks at the hero panel provided by the revenant designer dev.

I do think a subforum would make sense now. Sure it’ll be filled with speculation at the start, but as we get more information the more nebulous threads will fade off the main page.

The number of active threads on the revenant isn’t so high yet that it needs to be separated out. Especially since so much of their design goes hand-in-hand with redesigns of core game systems in HoT, I’d say it’s best to keep things as they are for now.

However, it does feel like the time is right to give them their promo page in the Game > Professions section at the top of the page.

I don’t think its necessary to have a dedicated Revenant forum until we can actually use Revenants ourselves. Right now its all just speculation, and speculation and much of the speculation is tied at least in some ways to HoT in general, so it fits just fine here IMO.

All reasonable answers! However the point of the new class forum (that we already know is confirmed..) IS to actually speculate and keep the HoT forum clear for story/game content instead

It just seemed like the right time since we have so much info already, eg: skills, traits, weapons, etc etc.

Probably after something else significant gets release about HoT. For the moment, the Rev discussion is one of the major things keeping the HoT forum active.

Once they reveal Guild housing or specializations or whatever, that’ll be enough to fill the HoT forum, and Rev can be sidelined off to its own.

I also think it would be time to add a subforum for it! We have enough information on this class to start some discussion.
