There was a raid panel at the Twitchcon today with lots of Q&A about the upcoming raids.

Main points

• Don’t need commander tag to form squads for raids, can do a leaderless squad. It has less control than a commander tag full squad but it is sufficient for raids.
• These raids will be hard to PuG
• First person to enter the instance will set the progress. Rewards are on a weekly basis.
• Expect unique rewards from bosses with higher drop chance (10%), exclusive weapon skins, ascended rewards, precursors for legendary armor
• First raid wing will be released before the holidays 2015, second raid wing in early 2016.
