Hello

This topic migth have been brought up in the past I don’t know. I noticed all or almost all decorations are human centered. Chairs, tables, architectural elements, fountains, trees, lattices, etc, they are mostly centered around the human race’s style. It would be nice if Anet released decorations for:

Asura
Lab equipement, general asura architecture elements, hanging vines, scattered broken golem parts etc.

Charr
metal firepits, lunge chairs, long chairs, scattered cogs and tools, metal tables, battle plans and more.

Norn
roasting pigs, different torches and lights made of manes and, fur pelts, small statues of their spirits

Sylvari
Plant fountains, all sorts of plants (not in pots), all of sylvari furniture you find in the grove or caithe’s house…

I mean, if the main goal of decorations is to augment immersion in the guild halls by making them coherent living spaces for guilds, please consider adding all of the races traditional decorations, as guilds are multi-cultural groups.

Thank you.

I have brought the issue a dozen times, whenever people talk or complaint about decorations they think are needed or missing.

IMO the humancentrism of everything in the game is one of the bigger problems in it, it diminishes the amazing work they did creating these beautiful races in the first place.

Back in topic, most of the elements exist in the game, they just need to rescue the models to make them useable as decorations. I’ll gladly go back to my scribe if they released more asura and charr decorations. Right now it doesn’t interest me at all.

Please, Anet, let us thrive on the variety you have created.

While I can definitely see some being very human centered (the orchestra, and fountains), I think majority of the decorations are purposefully generic. You’d find the same kinds of tables and chairs in Hoelbrak. That said, there should be more diversity. The Charr chopter decoration stands out like a sore thumb b/c its so different than anything else we have. The new decorations from Caudicus manor likely only made this matter worse. Having animal pelts, asuran computers and weapon racks would be awesome.

How about: more non potted plants as a start…I’m sick of making ceramic planters. It really makes me sad that a majority of new decorations are raid centric. Heck, I want the big metal chairs from Black Citadel, or the plant hammocks from the Grove!

I just want lab equipment and floating cubes.

I would love to make Asura hammocks and have Sylvari plant lights. Yes! to lab equipment, big Norn braziers, and other non-human furnishings and decorations.

Non-potted plants FTW. Such a pain to mess around sinking plants through the floor so the ugly pots don’t show.

Absolutely. The same applies to armor, of course (which along with all the stereotypically gendered armors, is the reason why I don’t even bother looking at new skins because they’re as good as guaranteed to be utter garbage in my eyes), and really does the game a massive disservice. If devs want to see their more orignal and interesting species get more love from more players, they need to actually support us being able to make our characters and their halls look the part instead of just “humans in funny suits”.

It’s particularly bad with/for sylvari and charr. But some distinctly norn-themed stuff would be great too, I love the suggestion of spirit-statues and shrines.
