When I jumped from a dangerous height, I could activate the glider just before hitting the ground; I would still hit the ground, but take no fall damage and slide several feet forward. Not sure if this is a bug but it seemed a bit odd and unintentional to me, and possibly something that can be exploited atm to fall long distances without any consequences.

I liked that and from my understanding is intentional

The camera “glitch” is not random, it triggers when using #3 on hammer while holding right click, and walking forward at the same time.

Regarding Lag, or FPS Drops, everything worked very smooth, even with max settings on my toaster.

Figuring out how to work, equip and complete masteries was “a bit” confusing at the very beginning, but it did not take long to figure out. The descriptions are clear and “should be” easy to understand for everybody.

The Revenant is really fun to play, the views in Verdant Brink are stunning and the tiny raptors are super cute!

Edit:

- No way to cancel the challenge once you’ve started. You need to wait for the timer to run out. Slightly inconvenient, though not a huge problem.

There’s a [x] button on the top right corner of the event information for the adventure. Clicking it will cancel it.

From my notes :
Also noted the stun break still applying before energy usage of elite skill of dwarf.
Did not notice any benefit from Malix elite need to look closer at that next round.

Noted some sudden camera changes – thought it was my finger miss-hits but maybe was skills from different weapons. Was trying different combos Malix with burning – yep ;D

Will take some getting used to Revenant style of play. The first time my avatar disappeared was unexpected but then I read the skill for hammer closer.
I did more than 20 or so on boss fight so not sure stressed much.

I noticed some lag, or simply FPS dips, during the Wyvern fight which caused players and the wyvern to seemingly teleport around the platform. They would freeze, disappear then reappear somewhere else, sometimes in the middle of an animation.

It’s obviously hard to be sure how much of that was on my end (especially with 2 PCs running the beta) but I didn’t notice it anywhere else.

Really? No CD on switching legends? And it resets your energy to 50 every time? Or does it scale down if you do it too quickly?

Its bs. In combat revenant has 10cd on legend swap. And if you playing him properly you will run out of energy pretty quick. I have looked at few streams and i have seen them on 100% energy pretty much the whole time cause they dont touch utility skills at all. This is now how revenant is supposed to be played

Actually a vast majority of the time you have so much energy regen that you can spam till your hearts content.

It’s kinda a bit on the silly side. You can have near permanant stability in Jalis, or have near 100% uptime on the Hammer PBAoE. The taunt is situational. Additionally the Elite skill energy cost is so low, that you can almost get away with a combo as silly as Elite → AA x4 – > Elite again.

Phase smash (hammer #3) allows you to interact with objects during the animation before blinking back to your original location. In the stress test, this could be used to interact with and claim one of the mastery points (the one on the narrow ledge above where the story instance takes place). Apparently it was possible to claim it just by jumping against the ledge as well, but I did it by using phase smash.

However, I feel like this property of phase smash could potentially be used to do other things in the game, like claiming skill points, opening chests, picking up bundles, repairing keep walls, and possibly operating siege equipment. In other words, it would allow you to do these things from long range instead of actually having to be at those things (i.e. blinking across a chasm to open a chest instead of having to jump over there and fight the vet mob next to it).

It may be best to not allow a revenant to be able to actively interact with things while using phase smash.

I noticed my camera was moving oddly. It was changing slightly without my moving it and resetting when I used the revenant skills.

I noticed this as well, but only for the targeted skills-the camera seemed to move higher, and I view shifted to looking a bit downward. It was kind of weird— I wondered if it was supposed to be like the ranger skill where you get bigger and your perspective changes.

Only ran into a few little things..

Revenant Mace skill 2 puts down a fire field but has no tool tip stating this.

The 3 skill on hammer sometimes makes my camera look more down or not where it was when i fired the skill off.. Looks neat but would be nice if it went back to what ever camera angle you had after the skill goes off..

The event with the bombs, after placing bombs on the mounds that get destroyed, after the mounds are gone some bombs are just floating in the air. I saw them in a few spots in both tests.

Mastery System wasn’t what I expected. Not sure why we have to equip a mastery just to level it up instead of just leveling up and gaining a pool of points that we can distribute later into any mastery we want. IMO it would be much better with the UI/features of the wvw abilities.

Other than those little things everything else seemed good to me.
