Currently all 3 of those exotic backpacks( Scholar’s, Agent’s and Crusader’s Pack) are bound to 1 of my character since it happens that the last part needed for all 3 backpacks are obtained from a vendor for me and those backpacks are designed to be soulbound on acquire instead of soulbound on use.

It would be great if those backpacks are made to be soulbound on use instead so that it can be used on alts instead, since my main uses ascended backpacks. Else it would become trash can fodder

Agreed. Any collection reward really should be account bound on acquire. There is a lot of nonsensical use of soul bound/account items in this game, it needs to be re-evaluated as it seems arbitrary most of the time.

Thanks for the heads up. If/when I decide to finish those, I’ll do it on alts that can use the backpack. If I have any that don’t already have exotic backs, anyway.

I do tend to leave one purchasable item in a collection for last so I can get it in the bags of the alt I want carrying it, account bound or not, to save bank swapping time.

Yes, considering that stuff like armor parts gotten from completing elite trait lines are account bound and the weapons one gets from first unlocking elites are soulbound on use, it is a bit weird that exotic backpacks from completing the collection are soulbound on acquire to whichever character happens to complete that collection.

Ugh…I did not realize this until too late. Now I have the Priory backback soulbound to a Whispers character. This stinks.

At least you do unlock the skin so you can apply it to any alt you wish. You could even end up swapping skins that way if multiple backs get bound wrongly.
