Hey,

just went back to the Point of Interest stream from today cuz I saw something in the initial stream..just head to min 15:15. There is a blue bar underneath the health bar of that Mordrem Court Punisher. At first it’s empty, then it fills to a full blue bar: http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2/c/6055234?t=15m10s

I can’t remember having seen this before on any mob type across all of Tyria. Am I missing something or is this kinda new? Any guess what that could be? On the left side of that second bar it has the ‘Unshakable’ symbol too (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unshakable)

At first I thought it was a casting bar, but im not sure.

Not going to be a casting bar. It looks like it’s tied to either a variant on Unshakeable (perhaps a timer between possible CC’s?) or a new way to show Defiant stacks instead of having both on the buffs/debuffs bar.

Or it could be some sort of “enrage” mechanic. Could also relate to combat masteries.

They mentioned before that one of the masteries could be for tearing off a mordrem’s defensive “bark” better. That gauge might represent these defenses, sort of like shields in a shooter game.

Could be a variant on TSW’s Aegis shield idea if its tied to masteries being able to remove it
