My biggest concern is when uspecialize do u still get access to olnew weap or a druid only has access to staff n that’s it?

I am really hoping to get a longbow for Guard to go with my other weap set but would really suck if they got the LB but could ONLY use that lol

That would mean Guardians and Rangers would lose the ability to swap weapons in combat which seems highly unlikely.

However it might be the case that specializations lose access to a weapon type in exchange for gaining access to a different weapon type.

Another idea, what if instead of Weapon Swap, the specialization change their new weapon skills but keep same weapon.

So take Druid for example. It would have two sets of staff skills. 10 total. Weapon swap simply changes between those two.

So you want all specializations to be like the Elementalist?

L:ol… i love how you think that clip proves anything…

Yes, we all already knew you were going to lose some stuff when you pick a spec. It’s sortof like a sub class, but i very much doubt there will be points involved. More like you can swap specs like you can swap utilities and said spec will change your profession mechanics, trade in some old utilities for new ones, and give you an elite (or trade for a new one), but they already said leveling up after lvl 80 will give you a point for the mastery system which is where i would guess progress after 80 will be focused. That being said and confirmed having to level and get points for specialisations doesn’t quite make sense.

Would love to have sources for these things, because as far as I understand it there is no points whatsoever involved in the specialization system.

Well, it looks like in the end there are points involved in the specialization system

Indeed, and yet when this thread were actually active there were no information whatsoever that it would. Thus we argued based on the information we had back then.
