While I get this achievement, Sylvari Soldarity, makes sense from a story perspective and it could be a nice optional achievement, why is it required for the meta achievement of ACT I to get the mastery point and ascended amulet?

For those not aware. This achievement require you to have a sylvari character able to do the first mission of Heart of Thorns. You literally don’t have do anything, just be Sylvari.

I realize that it is easy to make a character and get to 80 these days and achievements shouldn’t be easy but what about players that don’t have an additional character slot for just a sylvari character? This kind of forced racial requirement could set up a slippery slope?

That is really disappointing. I will NEVER roll a sylvari.

Yeah this needs to be removed/fixed. A meta achievement should never rely on what race you chose.

I don’t have any Sylvari, and I’m not buying a new character slot and leveling it to 80 just to get an achievement so I can get my Ascended trinket. That’s just ridiculous.

The meta achievement is totally bogus, but if you have a problem with the aesthetics of a syvlari, you could roll a heavy armor class and give them full 100% coverage the whole time.

umm sylvari are kinda the main focus race for this xpac so a meta achivement tied to that race makes sense as does one for norns when they do a pack for jormag and so on.

Just because you personally dont want to play as a sylvari doesnt mean the entire game should be changed to cater to your limited opinions….grow up.

You don’t have to play a Sylvari. You can simply team up with another Sylvari player and you’ll get the achievement, too.

Ugh. There’s no excuse for tying a meta-achievement to a specific race.

I find this lame and this comes from a person who only has Sylvari characters…

I thought they kinda already have this with the first 30 levels of the story mode in core? Or did none of the races have unique achievements back then too

So much salt here. Just party up with a sylvari to get the achievement, it’s that simple. Don’t like it? Too bad, we already have achievements for specific races and classes only in the game already. Deal with it.

Add me to the ‘wow that’s dumb’ group. I even have a sylvari I can do it with, but it’s still just obscenely stupid.

You can enter the story step with a sylvari lead and get the achievement that way.

HoT is centred around sylvari, the devs gave everyone months of warning that rolling a sylvari for the expansion would be a good idea
