Will there be bodies of water in the jungle?

As I swam around Mount Maelstrom, this question came to mind.
I don’t mean rivers to run through, but deep water with combat?
For me, underwater exploration and six degree combat is a great joy!
Please no speculation or opinions here.
IF you are in the know, only yes or no is enough for me.. Though “a lot” or “a little” will also be appreciated
I hope so. I’m hoping for more underwater content so I can use my Al’ir’aska spear, cause it’s one of my favourite skins but haven’t been able to use it much.

there are no confirmations, but i wouldn’t count on it. i think ANet is staying out of underwater combat until they take the time to overhaul the whole thing.
shame, because the maguuma jungle should have plenty of water.

I would say that the fact you can actually see bodies of water in the trailer confirms it.

Is there more than the one dramatic fly in to the golden temple(?) with the waterfalls? I will watch again when I am back home.

This is my fear, after seeing no water in the new maps (other than under map heh heh) and when it was removed from PvP.

Just one fly-in, but you can definitely see a small lake at least, so i’d say there would be some water in other places too. Or at least I hope so.

there’s a central lake, but since that place is most likely a city hub, it wouldn’t have combat.
the magus falls are supposed to be somewhere in the jungle though, so maybe we’ll visit that…

to be honest, only one map had a big chunk of water, and underwater combat is so divergent from the rest of the build system, and so, so far from any semblance of balance, that it’s not surprising that they don’t bother with it on PvP.

There’s going to be a total of one body of water in the jungle. It will have the size of one square meter and you’ll have to jump from the canopy all the way down. The immense verticality of the map will give you enough time to prey to the six gods of Tyria in the hope of hitting your target. It will be one of the many “challenging” features in HoT.

Full disclosure: I never actually played GW1.
That said, a quick glance at the areas from the GW1 version of Maguuma Jungle shows a lagoon and a swamp as some obvious areas filled with water.

well that area marked “silverwood” dried up so hard it’s now the silverwastes, and the manmoon lagoon became that shallow drake nest thing.
though the westmost part of the jungle seems to have survived well the drying up.

I hope they do something wild like make a lake in the canopy section. maybe there could be several trees all clumped together to form it.
