So while everybody is busy hammering away at the dredge and Flame Legion degenerates popping out of those Diablo-esque portals near the Dolyak Pass waypoint, some of us are noticing the large new (inaccessible) structure on the north side of the pass.
It appears to me to be of norn construction, though others in the area think not. What say you?

We really should try and keep all the things to one thread so Ill post this here.
Theres a new NPC cub at the Black Citadel Refugee camp. The kid says that the Flame Legion is using guns but not Iron Legion style guns. Instead they are guns that ‘shimmer and make your head hurt’. Sonic weapons? Sounds like we might actually really have an alliance here.
I’m going to bet it’s not an alliance. It’s someone trying to make it LOOK like it’s Dredge and Flame Legion doing this.
It is an alliance between Flame Legion and Dredge.
Go look at the new Ascended accessories. The “Molten Ore” one has flavor text regarding this.
Edit: What I want to know is; why should we care? We already crippled their forces and killed their leaders in Citadel of Flame and Sorrow’s Embrace. We assisted in the death of an Elder Dragon. What threat could they possibly be?
Oh, it’s definitely dredge and Flame Legion…you can see them quite clearly during these portal fights.
But if that new structure isn’t norn-constructed, I’m a quaggan.
Those “diabloe-esque” portals have been in the game since release. They’re just portals that the Flame Legion made (as opposed to the green ones leading to the Underworld, or the blue ones made by Icebrood/Sons of Svanir into the Mists).
Anyways, that norn… settlement? will likely be prominent in the story’s near future. If not later during this month, then next month.

They probably wouldn’t be a threat to the Pact if they bothered getting involved – but they’re a threat to the charr and norn who aren’t in a united front against a shared enemy that’s being dredge and Flame Legion… yet.
Plus, we only managed to kill Zhaitan thanks to anti-Elder Dragon weaponry. That stuff may have the effect of shooting a rubber band when at normal folks (that’d actually be kind of funny – “This here cannon took down an Elder Dragon! You think you can stand up to it?!?” fires Enemy: “Well kitten…” enemy hit… nothing happened “HAH!” enemy slaughters Pact troops).

Ah, hubris. The downfall of many a great empire or hero.
Even assuming that they couldnt win, the damage they are doing is substancial. Diessa plateau is the Black Citadel’s primary source of wood, food and water. Attacks could seriously hurt the Iron Legion.
Even ignoring that, something is causing the vents. If its this alliance it means that they have a weapon that is triggering volcanic vents and creating unstable weather and currently we have no counter to it.
As for the structure, it’s definitely norn, although of a style that isn’t seen outside Hoelbrak to my knowledge. You can’t see it in this screen, but there are also a couple of massive wolf sculptures, not dissimilar from the one seen at the Wayfarer/Hoelbrak portal. The parts of the new structure we can see seem to just be a staircase, albeit an very wide one with an excessive amount of barriers- there are another two gates behind the first one.
Lots of defense makes sense seeing how active in dredge activity that mountain’s been since release (though mainly on the eastern side).
Well, my asura is short even for an asura. She took the best picture she could.
