(this is probably the millionth post on this topic, still quite new to forums, so i apologize)

Their story are different in alot of ways, but there are many connections.

-Summarizing Saul’s story. (i probably messed up a few times recalling the events)
Saul was a drunkard, riding off a huge debt, eventually stole to pay the debt, but was pinpointed and Exiled from Kryta. Being castoff after several weeks of being blindfolded. He survived eating berries and whatever he could find. He was in ragged clothing, malnourished, weakened, etc. and eventually he stumbled into a “dense forest” and somehow walked into a magical like kingdom with towers and whatnot. He thought he was hallucinating when he saw floating beings who had a harmonious melody when they spoke. These beings were quite large, had wings, and he bowed to them, to which they believed he was their strongest believer and bestowed upon him, some of their magical powers and “healed him.” When he left their kingdom, he wanted to spread the word about them, which he called “The Unseen Ones” and believed they were Gods. He eventually gained followers under the name The White Mantle. The followers NEVER saw the “unseen ones” however they believed Saul could see them. Although he was once exiled, when the charr forces began to attack Kryta, the krytans asked Saul to become a general and lead them out of the dark days. To which he did end up doing with the help of the Mursaats (aka Unseen Ones). Saul knowing that they could not win, let an assault on the charr camps at night. They ended up killing the leader , however the Mursaats betrayed the White Mantle and began killing them. Saul realized they were not Gods, but the Mursaats eventually took him with them and began misleading other white mantles into thinking Saul was killed by the Charr.

Scarlet’s story.
She was born Caera (I think?) and was extraordinarily intelligent. She was very interested in learning trade and engineering secrets of the world so she studied under many different engineers from all races. Eventually she attempted to attend the Asura colleges. They did not allow her as they did not believe in outsiders, however she was able to create a live Golemite (?) using simple stones and spells which gained the likings of the Asuras. She graduated top of her class and from 2 of the 3 colleges. Eventually she worked with the Inquest where she was betrayed by Teyo when they attempted to steal documents about secret trades. Teyo was able to escape, however, Scarlet did not and was exiled from Rata Sum. Afterwards she went to study the Hyleks which is where her former Asuran Mentor tracked her down and told her he has a device that can allow her to see the Eternal Alchemy. The eternal alchemy, was believed to be A greater power that everything including gods worked towards.
The device made her mentally unstable, but it allowed her to see a vision. In the vision she saw a tree along with sylvaris that ended up whithering away, some before they can grow, some while they grow, and some end up grown but again whithered away.
The pale Tree spoke to her, and told her that she either becomes part of the dream (which she was fated to be part of) or become the nightmare. She disagreed because she believed you can adapt and becoming other things, you aren’t stuck in a predetermined system. She created the Aetherblades and so on…

The links aren’t very obvious and might even be far-fetched. Both were exiled. one was a drunkard, one was an intelligent being. One saw beings he thought were gods while in a “dense forest.” The other saw a vision while her mind was being distorted in a device. While Saul was trying to spread the word of “Gods,” Scarlet wants to show that you can change fate.

What do you think? Possibility?

I… don see any resemblence. At all.

The main drive that started Saul’s story was his exile. Ceara’s “exile” was an irrelevent little step that she didnt care about in the least and didnt effect her at all. Nothing would have changed if she was not to be exiled.

Saul was possibly a unique Chosen himself, who could see the Mursaat without ascension, or his ascension was of a different kind. Ceara was a sylvari stuck in a device that messed with her mind and she saw things. She didnt form a religion and stood against an invasion with her followers, she formed gangs and fragile alliances held together by fear of her, and she send them to invade.
