Dear Kasmeer... I am not your "friend"
What I don’t understand is why the GW2 “team” seems so lame. Marjory is the only personality that seems “heroic”. I didn’t play GW1, but Destiny’s Edge seems very heroic – what happened?
Well it’s only their first real adventure. Give them some time to grow. Braham and Rox were great during F&F if you ask me.
And contrary…the best of them is the youngest…in age and in live story age.
Imho, they just made them to stupid and to good at the same time. DE 1.0 is smarter Snaff/Zoija+Eir. DE 1.0 is stronger Caithe+Logan+Rytlock. DE1.0 is just more mature. DE2.0 feels like a bunch of teenagers. Only thing I see from them is kissing and flirting with each other. Emotions and stuff…not very helping in being heroic.
So. What do we have? True mature heroes on one side (DE1.0) and silly kids on another (DE2.0). Obviously, you wouldnt feel good, if your party consisted of 10 year old schoolgirls and an ape.
Also they lack sylvari. Sylvari is a master race and u can’t feel safe if u have no sylvari in party!!!!!
A lot of this. But minus the sylvari part, the only thing they are masters of is salad bowl. :P
Kitten, u just jelly of my sylvari swagger :p

So what you are saying is that elementalists, rangers, thieves, warriors and guardians are too powerful and engineers, necromancers and mesmers are weak.
I concur with this theory, Mesmers need immediate buffs.
We’re not saying their classes are weak. D.E 2.0 characters are weak. Taimi is a bit of a saving grace (though I don’t think so because of her leg problem, she is just a good character), though I don’t get why she has more makeup than adult asura, or even human females!

Its not about class. Its about them. U see… If i had to fight logan+rytlock+caithe, i know they would kitten me. I wouldnt stand a chance. While logan would defend his party, rytlock would tie me in combat, and even if I manage to beat him, Caithe would kitten me from behind. If im against de 2.0….. Kasmeer would go kiss marjori, Braham would break his hand trying to hit me, and rox would cry about her friend Braham. Annndd…taimi would be somewhere else, because she is a child. I see no battle spirit in them. Just silly kids.
In first arc i had some respect for braham and rox. At least they helped us. But then… They was just transformed into ape and kitty. To much emo. Not enough battle spirit.

Not a one of these characters is my friend, except Tybalt…
I don’t like anyone here or their story.
I don’t like the bestiality angle between Braham (Norn), and Rox (Charr).
::LAUGHS::
That’s a joke, right?
First of all, this is no worse than Spock’s parents being human and vulcan. Or Kirk having a thing for green alien women. Yes, they’re different species, but they’re both fully sentient and consenting adults. As both races come from Tyria, odds are they’re more closely related than Kirk and his green women are.
And don’t let charr “animal features” throw you. Don’t forget, norn are shape shifters, with all of their other forms being even more animalistic than the charr are. They’d have no problems with it if Snow Leopard came to them to give some advice, or Raven fluttered down next to them to impart some words of wisdom. Or if Bear herself gave them a smack upside the head for worrying over unimportant things in a relationship. Charr features won’t stop them from seeing the person behind those features. As they put it in the movie Avatar, “I see you.”
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

I nearly barfed.
Thats….disturbing…
Welcome to the Internet. Innocence doesn’t last long here.
Speaking for myself, I wouldn’t mind seeing Braham and Rox get together, but the vibe I’m getting from them is that they’re just close friends.

You left yourself wide open, furry….
Ah, whatever, who are we to judge? It will totally kill the story for me if Braham and Rox go that way, but maybe that is the direction Palador would like to see human culture take. It is his viewpoint and we’ll have to respect it, even if we have a hard contrast in opinions here.
Anyway, back on topic. I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND KASMEER!!!!!!!
My opinions on the “new blood”
I actively like Marjory, Taimi, and Rox. Braham I can take or leave. Kasmeer … well, if I need an NPC Mesmer to deal with, where’s my Tegwyn? Or Anise.

LOL! Stinky warriors.
We Warriors have been complaining about being smelly since launch! Now instead of just ignoring us like usual you openly mock us?

DE 2.0 is a joke. Its very hard to like any of them. They all start out ok then as the story unfolds it becomes harder and harder to like any of them.
Now I’m just waiting to see how they screw up Taimi’s character, because if she is so smart then she knows Braham can’t understand what she is talking about, yet she constantly goes on and on about technical things. That is annoying, the same way someone lords it over another by trying to show intellectual superiority.
She’s smart, he’s dumb. No need to rub it in time and time again.
The living story constantly refers to The B-iconics as “your friends”, and they refer to you as “my friend”.
I’m a Sylvari, whom Kasmeer has constantly belittled, and feel little to no kinship with her, and to a lesser extent Marjory. (I’m sure other players have similar issues with Rox and Braham, although they “work” for my character).
Caithe and Trahearne are my friends, Sieran was my friend , Arlon and Pellam are my friends, Shashoo is my friend (etc..), Kasmeer et al aren’t.
TLDR: Please stop using ‘friend’ to refer to the PC
wait wait wait…… you consider Trahearne a friend!?! O.o

Tegwen died during the lead up to Zhaitan’s defeat (in the Vigil “path to Orr” set of missions).

Oh … I know. That was rather my point; that ANet loves to kill the ones I like. Or only use ’em for a bit of the storyline. (sobs)
