It's official, I regret buying season 2
Welcome to “challenging” content! Do you like HoT in general?
Those bosses is ball easy from what I remember :/ .
If you can’t kill that slowly walking mender that npc
will mention everytime it spawn. You got some problem.

Except the mentions stop roughly halfway through. Pus considering they seem to appear every two seconds they are just plain annoying to deal with.
Troll somewhere else please
lol troll? This is my honest opinion .
I finish LW season2 on thief engi ranger and mender never have any chance to heal.
What do you play though?
wait ep 1 the golem you can just max range and just drink coffie or eat a sandwitch while watching youtube on second screen?
Ep 2 yea it was alittle harder you can still max range this one by killing the hounds from the sides then focus boss. ( if you think this boss was hard the first time around try soloing it while letting none of the bone minions die )
Ep3 true it start to ramp up in dif alittle but shouldent you have learned to dodge circles by now?

I understand your frustration, OP. My problem though, so far, is not with the bosses but with the irritating, continual talking. Talk to this person, examine this, talk to that person, examine that. Agh! I enjoy storylines, I really do. But the talking parts could be shortened sooo much if they would have just used cuts-scenes. Of course, that would be more expensive to produce, so instead we get ‘talk here, talk there, talk talk everywhere’! For me, the bosses actually break up the monotony! It’s like, ‘finally, something to DO’!
I don’t regret buying it because I wanted to know who these “new” allies are in HoT, and I figured this would give me a good idea, as well as filling in the gaps between the end of GW2 personal story and HoT. But I sure am tired of all the talking! lol
Yeah they are hard they are meant too if they get to difficult bring someone with you im sure out the million or so players you can find a friend who willing to help it is a mmo after all.And fun thing is i dont even thing they have to own the seasons they can still come along.Nothing to get frusterated about neither not meant to be easy cant expect hand holding.
Objection! If you only did the first three, it gets much worse.

This topic isn’t about difficulty.
I honestly don’t remember the early bosses for season 2 to be difficult. o-o
There was this one dragon boss that was tougher, since I nearly got into a downed state a few times in that fight. It’s been forever since I did it, but that might have been the final fight?
I recall one of the fights threw me off as I wasn’t aware I had to kill these shadow-things – literally had a stalled boss fight for the longest time until I went ahead and read up a guide.
Though I recall these boss fights to be much later on in season 2. If you’re having trouble now, I think it’ll get worse for you.
Compared to the final fight(s) of the HoT story though, season 2 was definitely easier.
The closest thing I can compare this to is being in the middle of a nice meal and some big fat come walks over, rips a giant fart and just leaves, sure you can keep eating but that stench is gonna linger, and when it keeps happening you just want to stop going to that restaurant.
Really, the best example you could come up with is ripping on obese people? Have to break it to you, people of all shapes and sizes can be flatulent.
To be honest LS2 is quite easy, all you need is DPS Gear, a little positioning and awareness then everything is fine. If you still have problems you don’t need to solo everything, you can invite some friends/guildies to help/teach you.

A lot of people think it is more disgusting when fat people do it.
they are far from impossible… a lot of player have done it, surely it’s doable… no doubt it’s tedious, but hey that’s the challenge. you didn’t expect a cake walk, did you ?
Archeage = Farmville with PK
Lol another player who thinks the game is to blame. Those bosses are so easy, really. Either get some decent (zerker-)gear or change your playstyle.
‘would of been’ —> wrong

Learn to read LoloGunner. It’s not about the difficulty.
This just feels like a big waste of money now.
That sums it up for me as well. Gems could have been spent elsewhere for more value.
I don’t get these complaints …. did you not understand when Anet said " HoT will be challenging content?" Did you have any reason to not believe them if you did understand it?
I mean, a few tedious boss fights in HoT is what does it in for you but the majority of core GW2 that appeals to the nation of facerolling MMO scrub gamers doesn’t? For all the good things that core GW2 is, challenging and engaging it is not. Even if you don’t like HoT, a player with an objective sense should at least recognize what it brings to this game that was missing.
Ultimately, even if you think it was a waste of cash for you, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say “but I get the kind of player that does enjoy it” and ultimately, if you embrace that style of MMO gaming, you will find HoT isn’t the total write off people say it is.

I don’t get it. None of the bosses are particularly hard or tedious and they were a good practice run for newer runs. Not all of them have the best execution but they were sufficiently challenging for story missions while not overwhelming for the majority of players. If you’re having issues with them, this might be the wrong game for you…
I do agree that the whole “going invulnerable” business is a bit annoying at times, but at least it forces you into a different dynamic, instead of just allowing you to steamroll everything. The alternative is giving the bosses far more health or far more dangerous attacks, neither of which is a good solution, as has been demonstrated plenty of times in the past.
i HATE when the ONLY chalenging part of a boss is that he SPAMS KNOCKS EVERYWHERE IN YOUR FACE like a machine gun…………………
-Total War: Warhammer
-Guild Wars 2
I didn’t find the content particularly difficult, although some of it reminded me of a Zelda game where there was some little “trick” to fighting the boss. After you know the “trick”, it’s easy.
I did sometimes regret buying season two. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did the personal story (lore-wise/story-wise). And looking back, I would have rather they had all of the living world episodes as part of the expansion story-line instead, since what was left for the expansion wasn’t very much story.
But in the end, I would still buy it. So no regrets for me.
I did not even buy it because I logged in at this time and I regret playing it, repeatedly sometimes. If a group of guild people had not dragged me kicking and screaming back into it, I would hardly have any success from it.
That content was a huge pile of garbage for me, nothing less, nothing more. Started weak, then fell off strongly…
OK? Sorry you didnt like it I guess. The only part I did like of the s2 story was the boss fights lol
Not going to lie but most of the bosses can be difficult if you try to melee them due to the bosses heavy hitting melee attacks nature.
Best way to handle them is to use Range weapons so you always have room to get out of range from those heavy hitting attacks before the bosses use them and/or kill the enemy from a distance if they are too far from you. Using Range weapons will make the boss fights feel like a walk in the park.
As i always say “The Best DPS is always a Range DPS”.

I managed to complete LS2 with a condi Mesmer wielding a scepter before they reworked conditions. The Barradin fight was a nightmare trying to kill the mender with torment but it was possible. It really depends on what build you use. LS2 can be easy with the right builds.
However I admit that the difference in difficulty between LS2 and the HoT story is vast. I’m surprised at just how easy the HoT story and the achievements are in comparison to LS2.
I did not find LS2 to be excessively difficult but I did find it to be truly atrocious game design for which the devs responsible should feel ashamed. Definitely glad that it wasn’t something I had to pay for.
I guess LS2 story is hard because people are used to autoattack or mindless throw skill off CD for the whole time up until it.
I soloed it whole with me engi, no kidding, and all the soloable achievement too.
Dunno.
Wat r u, casul?
Living Story would’ve been so much better without Marjory & Kasmeer.
I keep getting kicked at the Shadow Dragon fight after 7 times trying and client repair, bug report, forum report. everything. so yes to me A HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY !
I truly despise the customer support of ANET.
My favorite thing is when a cut-scene in the story starts, and you can hear you and your friends being hit by some mobs. Happened near the end of Bitter Harvest (I think it’s called). Fortunately, I could “skip scene” to go to the fight.
