Ls3 P2 ending (MASSIVE SPOILERS)
Maybe its because the GW2 crew wasn’t with you in the last mission but did any GW1 players feel a tad lonely when they found themselves surrounded by Destroyers, a Destroyer of Hope looming and no Koss, no Gwen, no Vekk, none of the good old heroes and henchmen fighting along side them?
Nostalgia I tell ya ><
Oh I freaked out my husband and son during that fight.
“STAY AWAY FROM MY BABY”
“Don’t you dare touch it!!”
“If it dies, you all have unleashed hell on everything you love!!”
“Dang it Sin, REZ use that REZ orb now!!!!”
Needless to say I was looked at like I was crazy for a good hour.
I will say I was completely confused by Lazarus popping up, last story chapter I thought he was the big bad guy. Now I am confused as to what his motives are.

Sin’s Characters on Gw2efficiency
I… found Glint’s spawn ugly. In that “We decided that the child of an ancient dragon should be SOOO CUTESY AWW” kind of way. Like, they tried to make it cutesy to pander to easily awed people but wound up making this weird abomination instead, like some Female Humans with the grossly babylike faces.
I also felt the story – as it has been – was pretty weak and the Lazarus twist was poorly done. Guess that’s a minority opinion, though. :B
So you’d rather they pandered to you?
Upon further collection of the Mursaat Tablets, it does seem that they changed drastically once they returned to Tyria. They changed in that, they were so angry at the other races for either refusing to help (Seers, Dwarves, and Jotun) to even the Forgotten who withdrew. When they came back to find a world sapped of magic, it would seem they chose tyrannical rule because they didn’t want the past to repeat itself.
I am thinking that this is implying that Lazarus, in clearly being aware of the chosen’s progress (in GW1), is being honest up to this point. Granted, that’s just my opinion which, again, is bias since I do love the Mursaat and want more of a mutual respect between the Commander and the new Mursaat.
It does make me hope that future Fire Island map(s) give more tablets that continue the story all the way through Guild Wars: Prophecies and the moment Optimus Caliph was about to be slain. Maybe there was a Mursaat who managed to flee as the Titans broke free and in that moment immediately regretted all they had done. Who knows, I’d still like to find something from Caliph’s point of view as he details the events that lead to the destruction of their campaign on the Fire Islands.
I was put off by the Lazarus switch, but then I thought…it makes sense.
With the Pact all but dead and two dragons rising, Tyria is in big trouble. I’m curious to see how this potential alliance with Lazarus will play out. What also interests me is, yes, the Mursaat tablets. The fallout between Mursaat/Forgotten and the Seers, Dwarves and Jotun really stood out for me.
