in the Living story you can see a man on a ridge ….. he is the spitting image of Saul D’Alessio i know its Reginald Murcan. but……. he says he is incognito… and ppl are after him. a descendant pherhaps or maybe he himself somehow survived after 250 years 6 Gods know what the mursaat have done to him. The same mursaat who survived the last dragon awakening

Can you provide screenshot of him? and how you think he aligns with Saul?

1st The badges for the achievement …. if you zoomed in they looked like white mantle badges
2nd the eyes the beard and the hobbo outfit he is wearing (same outfit description in lore from before he met the mursaat)
3rd he was later kidnapped by the mursaat, speculated to the maguuma jungle

he is ingame under the name posted above but he says he is incognito… so the given name is probably not his real name

4th i can be completely wrong , but they are hinting at something lately that we havent figured out yet… so thats why i speculate :P

Its possible, though if I’m honest, the master of peace aligned a lot more with Saul than Reginald might that said, its not impossible.

The badges aren’t related to the stranger, but to the bandits whom are a White Mantle front.

Reginald and the Mysterious Stranger uses a generic model for beggar and homeless male humans. There are hundreds of NPCs with the model. Including The Al’seen, Beggar, and Donald Regland. People only relate the figure to Reginald, because in the labyrinth (not sure if instance or open world), one can find a dead pink moa, and Reginald talks about stalking pink moas.

While people speculate Saul was exiled into the Maguuma and/or Tarnished Coast, he could have easily been sent north into the Woodland Cascades too. There is also no evidence to really support him being exiled to the Maguuma/Tarnished Coast over Woodland Cascades; previously, folks thought that Old Joness’ dialogue hinted to it, with a mursaat city on its banks, but the entire river exists in Metrica Province, and as you can tell, no hidden mursaat city there.

Dear ANet writers,

There is no proof that the badges are related to the bandits.
There are not hundreds of npc’s with this model
\the name of the second person you mentiont The Al’seen is the anti of the word UNseen.
It is true that we dont know where exactly Saul was taken but an npc in gw1 tells you that he was taken west. if you put a horizontal line west from where Saul was kidnaped you get maybe 1 click above the Silverwastes

  • Those badges come from the forts; those forts were owned by the bandits. The bandits are a front for the White Mantle (see human Personal Story – unknown parents), and the badges have the White Mantle emblem on them.
  • Yes, there is. You can find over a dozen in Divinity’s Reach Eastern and Western Commons alone.
  • You might as well try connecting The Unseen to the Unseen Ones or to Alain (aka The Al’Seen – which is short for _The All Seeing); btw, opposite of Unseen is Seen, not All Seeing.
  • No NPC I’ve seen ever says he was taken west. I’d like to see a source for this. If such an NPC existed, then there would never have been debates about it not being the Maguuma Jungle he was taken into (which in GW1, included the now Maguuma Jungle). And Saul wasn’t kidnapped – he was imprisoned and exiled.

1 those bandits could be connected to him either
2 all those npc’s dont have any text to say so can be counted as filler npc’s
3 we are not holding a discussion about what presicely is an oposite
4 and 5 Have you ever heard of the bonus mission pack … its all there and even the wiki said : Ones turned on those who had moments earlier worshiped them as their gods and murdered them then disappeared. They took Saul, in whom they had imbued their most powerful magic, with

further more you dont seem to get the reason for this post : It CAN be him, not saying it MUST be him

  • Never denied that, but nothing says he’s connected to the White Mantle. He’s just a random person in a random location. Given past use of Mysterious Stranger NPCs, he may become relevant in the future…. or he may not.
  • Your point? I said they were used on dozens of NPCs. Also they do have dialogue. As much as Drooburt. Same function, really, except they didn’t take money in actuality.
  • You brought it up. Now that I countered it, you don’t care to continue? Typical.
  • Wow. I ask you to point out where it says he was west and you said “they took him”. Where does it say they took him westward? Answer the question, eh?

Maybe it can be, but there’s really no reason to believe it. But you were saying it is Reginald – despite there being no reason to believe he’s Reginald.

I think it’s pretty reasonable that when opposing evidence is presented, you should at least acknowledge it. Everything that Konig pointed out entirely defeats the point of the OP, and there wasn’t much to go on anyway.

in the Living story you can see a man on a ridge ….. he is the spitting image of Saul D’Alessio

Spitting image you say?

I don’t see it.
