I don’t think the Forgotten were ever voiced, unfortunately. Their names have a tendency to have sibilant consonants, but there’s no evidence of an accent in their written dialogue.

I don’ t think it could be one of the Edge of destiny. WP (wooden potatoes) speculated it could be Snaff, and somes of you guys speculated Logan, or others members of the destiny member. But to me, again, the voice clearly looked like “mess up”, “no emotion”. It was more like a really really “wise” and “old”(in the sense, who saw a lot of things during the years person.)

Or someone who traveled…to the Mists, say. Chasing after a mystical sword at the start, but once he got there he saw that things were far more complex than he knew. Saw so much, in fact, that he’s now sporting a blindfold.

Also, he has a deep voice.

Now, why he’d be randomly handing off dragon eggs to people is more than I can figure out, but it’s just an idea of mine.

personally think i’d have to go along with the idea that it’s one of the gods, they seem the most likely to create a sort of long-term plan like glint’s egg

Wasn’t it just the master of peace talking? I’ll have to play through that again (yikes) but weren’t they just recordings of him passing through each puzzle?

iirc, the first 2 “recordings” have no voice, while the final one has someone speaking to the MoP, and the MoP saying that he will, or something along those lines. since its a major plot thing (or at least thought to be for now), the cutscene might get put on youtube at some point so you wouldn’t have to play through again.

99% sure it was glint saying that. after all ,the zepherites almost worship glint, and it was heavily speculated that glint gave them one of her eggs since they first appeared.

Nope not Glint. Probably her kid that we saved in GW1. We shall call him Shimmer because the baby is called Glimmer.

But where do you get time travel? The egg’s been in stasis according to Ogden, and Rytlock did his disappearing act shortly after the MoP did his. From a chronological standpoint, it makes enough sense to me.

From a storytelling standpoint, it doesn’t. Rytlock has his own quest, retrieving his sword and ending the Ascalonian curse, which really doesn’t connect to the MoP and Glint’s egg directly. Unless it went like this:

Rytlock: “You! Human god of war and fire and yelling! That’s my sword! I need it back to end the curse on Ascalon!”

Balthazar: “Okay, fuzz-face, but first take this dragon egg and give it to that guy wandering the desert. You’ll know him, there’s a kitten-ton of plant monsters raised by Mordremoth chasing him. Tell him he must promise to protect it with his life.”

Rytlock: “(grumble) Agreed. Why are all those spirits screaming and running? Is there another dragon attacking?”

Balthazar: “No, it’s something leaking through from the other side of the world, something about a Kardashian donkey.”

Rytlock: “Really. I’ve never seen such a creature, I wonder what they look li—-AAAAIIIIGGGHHH!!!”

Balthazar: “(sigh) Kormir, we’re going to need one of your blindfolds…”

We met the master of peace in dry top carrying the egg on his back before Rytlock even attempted the ritual. Which is why it can’t be Rytlock unless he did time travel.

mostly meant the sarcasm as a joke, but by ogden’s speech, and the fact that it’s a recording of the MoP getting the egg, this is supposed to have happened in the past, like before the zephyrite ships went kablooey. MoP’s backpack was glowy in the first episode of season 2, thanks to this episode its been confirmed that glint’s egg was in it. rytlock didn’t go to the mists until episode…….4 i think. thats where i got time travel from

Well, a new teaser image just appeared on my FB feed with the MoP saying “I have something I can no longer protect” while holding the egg. So whoever’s doing the talking, we should have a clearer idea Tuesday. And since our PC plus Marjory and Kas were deliberately shown the scene, it’s gonna be interesting to see who gets to protect it now.

My own post was meant half-jokingly, btw.

I don’t think it can be Glint because two facts :

1. She is dead.

BUT we know she was a powerful Dragon, and she almost become an ancestral one. So in other words, it could be her spirits.

I beg to differ on your interpretation of facts here. What we know is that the Zephyrites were passed the task as protectors of Glint’s Heritage from the Dwarven Brotherhood. This happened all the way back in 1078 AE when the Dwarves transformed to stone. Glint is not killed by Kralkatorrik until 1320 AE, so at any time between 1078 and 1320, the Master of Peace might have been granted an audience with Glint and given the egg to protect it. Wild guess on my part would be that this perhaps takes place closer to now as Glint sees the upcoming confrontation with Kralkatorrik and knows she will mostly likely not survive that fight – so she seeks out the Master of Peace to take care of her last child.

I believe it must be Glint’s voice, but we hear it twarted (as media sometimes does to protect a person’s voice to preserve anonymity) so it could still be a female behind the voice even though it’s booming and sounding more like a male.

“You must promise to protect it with your life. Will you?”

Most likely the words of a concerned parent wanting her offspring to live; if however, we deem Glint dead at the stage where this encounter takes place – I’m a) still likely to believe it’s part of Glint persisting in the “walls” of her lair. Just as the facets now rose from the lair to protect itself in the story instance, they could have communicated with the leader of the Zephyrites because he was deemed important to the survival of the last of its(Glint’s) kin.

In my opinion it’s one of two things. Either it’s glint’s kid from GW1 that we have to protect. If he’s matured somewhat in to a young adult, he’s going to be a very powerful dragon, likely with psychic powers. The egg isn’t Glint’s last child, we know that at least one egg already had been a young dragon in Guild wars, and as far as I know, had survived.

Or hey, it could be the egg itself talking.

It seemed to me that from the visions in the instance, he was searching for the egg. If that’s the case then I doubt it’s Glint that gave him the egg herself as then he wouldn’t have been searching for it. I think the whole memory/visions were taking place after Glint had died.

To me, I have somes problems to agree it is the Child we saved from GW1 Eye of the North.
Because, the Egg is here for : get elder's Dragon magic, and keep it, instead of unbalance the Eternal Alchemy (Zaithan is dead, Modremoth take his power, and at the end, each dragon take the power of the deads ones)

BUT

The theory of the baby from GWEN makes sense to me IF the Egg is the reincarnationof Brill. Somes players had a believer on it, and it sounds really great ! I like the idea <3.
