Thanks for the awesome new "map"
map is so small = (
I agree with you! she’s great! good, just hard to master aspects. I would like to return to the old style puzzle jump. Take my time to think.
But otherwise: whaou!
I love it!
map is so small = (
That was my first thought, too, but I’m sure it will get an expansion (as you can see, the “Dry Top” font isn’t in the map center, so there’s something missing in the southwest / northwest part, I guess).
Anyway, in two weeks is another update, so that one here is definitely fine. Many funny new mechanics and some really nice achievements (not too hard, but not too easy).
Kickoff to Season 2 has a VERY tiny map.. wish it were MUCH larger.
In GW1 Dry Top is a rather small circular map area aswell, which connects Ettin’s Back to Tangle Root. Both maps belong to the region Maguuma Jungle.
Ettin’s Back is more like a desert, where Tangle Root is obviously a jungle.
It’s kind of an entrance map in GW1, allthough its still the same region the nature changes, the higher cliffs of Dry Top hold back the desert of Ettin’s Back on one side and on the other side it holds back the jungle of Tangle Root. You might see signs of the jungle in Dry Top, wich shows the transition of environment. In GW1 this is the case in Dry Top. This might be the case in GW2 aswell.
“Beautiful, talented and unique.”

I’m loving the map. I, too, thought it was a bit small when I first ventured into it. But then I realised that where other maps are wide, Dry Top is tall. There are so many “layers” to it that just aren’t present in other maps. If we were to lay it out flat, it’d look a lot wider, but be a lot less interesting. Personally, I’m very happy with a dense, interesting map instead of another map with wide open spaces that aren’t all used.
its 1/10 of the whole map, i guess if season 2 has 10 patches, we open one part of the map each time (or i can dream of)
I think part of the reason that gave us a small map is because they probably plan to make a lot more use for the aspects as the story goes on. With a small map, people will have more time to better learn the aspects continuously, and when the other portions are revealed, we’d be better equipped in a sense to be able to go through them.
