The dragon at the teaser [spoiler]
it’s entirely impossible for that dragon to be Kralkatorrik, for two obvious reasons:
1. Size, as massive as we saw the head of Primordus was, Kralkatorrik is THE largest dragon (size and power are not necessarily ecquivalents, though), and the dragon in the trailer appears even smaller than Zhaitan was. I’m thinking.. Shatterer-sized, Claw of Jormag-sized.. -ish…
and 2. The dragon is your classical western four-legged-wyvern meaning it doesn’t fit Kralkatorrik’s model which is not necessarily eastern in design, but clearly more serpentine/elongated that average dragons.
Hence it being too small for an elder dragon, and fitting any structural motiff, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just a random luitenant like Shatterer, but since it got special treatment from Balthazar, after showing regular dead dragons on the city, I have come to the conclusion it could very well be Gleam (Glint’s other kid)
As you can see in the first picture, individual pikes on his spine are larges than the ships at the right, while the dragon in the teaser is like.. 3-4 ships stacked on top of each other.. max

It’s a great idea, i would love if it was Gleam, but something tells me that the Dev’s want you to forget he’s even a character. I guess another theory i heard is that it could be a Champion of Kralkatorrik, as it’s quite small for an elder Dragon.
I think it is meant to be conceptual rather than actual size, so it could represent Kralk or Primordus without being accurate in representation. Artistic cutscenes, loading art etc are often misrepresentative of accuracy.
1) We’ll start in Divinity’s Reach- meeting with Anise, Jennah, Logan. This is why we became the members of the Shining Blade- we will be representing Queen in Crystal Desert and we are her personal guards- this is awesome!!
This will not be awesome, not everyone’s PC are human, I played through this last season on both my human guard and Charr warrior. I found the story in most episodes very unsatisfying on my Charr. The narrative is taking a step in the wrong direction and the writers NEED to remember that this is not Guild Wars 1 – Human is not the only race. There are many players, including myself, that does not want the story to cater to a single race.
Enough of indigo/ aka “promised” childs, they must find a plot where Aurene and Taimir are killed.
Parting up with “anciente and powerful” beings like Livia is 10x more fun.

well sylvari got their sylvari centric expansion, so I do not see any issue with next one being mroe human centric – and then one charr centric, norn centric, and asura centric….
as for the dragon in the trailer – I’d like to point out awkward similarities between both dragon postures in said trailer and the humanoid being we believe to be balthazar.
I don’t have pictures at hand to show the points on theselves so I’ll try my best in describing what I mean:
in the picture “en face” – compare horns to the helmet of the let’s-assume-it-is-balthy
on the show featuring full dragon and people “cherrishing” – look at it’s head – and compare the shape, colours and eye to the show we get when we zoom onto his “face” in the vision – I’d swear it’s the same head in both.
also now a thing – balthazar have absorbed recently alot of dragonic magic – from both primordus and jormag – with primordus sharing very similar area of magical spectrums as balthazar – what if, it did not left our little god over there unaffected – and what if all 3 shots were representing – balthazar himself?
[or he slaughtered soem smaller dragon and made his head into new helmet for himself – also possible]
“-and on this occasion I keep mine plate armors”
discussion about offensive/deffensive playstyles
I think it’s just meant to be a general champion of Kralkatorrik and is meant to portray the notion that Balthazar is hunting Kralkatorrik down for its magic and turning Elona into a burning wasteland to do so. It even looked like the cinematic showed two dragons to me.

The helmet is definitely his old one, and the dragon that gets a spear through its head before being lit on fire has a completely different eye shape, nose shape, and horn shape.
It also starts out yellow and clearly crystalline before it is lit on fire (and has a spear punctured through its head).
Unless you mean the frontal shot of the dragon, which I think is also different (from both the spear-through-head dragon and Balthazar) – again, a very clear crystalline shard around its face, more circular rather than slit eyes like Balthazar, and before being lit up in flame, a gray-yellow skin tone.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

ok after rewatching the thing again I admitt that the horns of the first dragon does not go as much in line with balthys helmet as I thought they did.
althought I have managed to get my paint skillz to work so I can at least show the second comparision [although I must admit I have never earlier noticed the spear thingy….]

nothig complicated: is the same horns of regalia. The biggest difference to regalia is the cover that is torn on vid.
