You should have had a waypoint unlocked on the airship. If so, open your map and waypoint back in.
Nup no Way Point
Just get Mushroom Jumping + Gliding to get up there. There are some paths leading up.
Try restarting the story
I stupidly jumped off the airship before I had the gliding skill.. DOH
Question is how do I now get back to my story though!
