Guild Wars 2

So I was in a CoF party last night (granted this was around 2am and I had only slept about four hours the previous night so I was a bit out of it) with an elementalist, thief, guardian, and mesmer. I myself was playing a warrior. Anyways, during a couple of the fights I realized someone was laying down some sort of buff that drastically increased my attack speed. I feel as though it seemed like it was the mesmer, however I believe the elementalist was using air a decent bit which I know has a lot to do with movement speed. Bleh, what I’m getting at is I didn’t know there were any attack speed boons or buffs and I can’t seem to find any on GW2 wiki or from just looking through profession skills so I’m curious if anyone could tell me what spell it was and which class it was associated with.

Time Warp, a mesmer ability, grants a boost to attack speed. Swiftness (the buff the ele can give in Air) is movement speed, not attack speed.

It was the Mesmer.

You could use frenzy yourself as a warrior to gain double attack speed for a short time. Ranger and thief also have similar abilities for their own use.

Ah quickness okay, I tried searching for “attack” as well as “speed” when I was looking through their abilities which is why it didn’t show up. Thanks everyone.

It’s a bit dangerous for warrior, +50% incoming damage is hard

Which is why you combine it with the 5 second invulnerability skill at the same time

I like when mesmers say ‘Time Warp’, then 2 seconds later a giant bubble with everyone attacking twice as fast. definitely going to use it when I finish my mesmer alt
