Q:

Hi,
I am very hyped on creating Necromancer with condition build. I havent played for about 10 months, lots of things has changed.

I would like to ask if Conditionmancer would be viable for World Bosses, Champion farming? I mean, achieving the bleeding cap is a matter of 1-2 seconds with a larger group of players, would my damage still contribute even if there are 25 stacks constantly?

Thanks for any replies.

Well two people with the same setup would be constantly obliterating each others bleed stacks. No idea how it works out in practice but it should be fairly easy to see how the aggregate damage is changing now with the new floaters.

Honestly, if you build a character for World Bosses and Champion Farming, I would recommend:
- That you don’t build for conditions, even people not built for conditions will put theirs, ten people is all it would take for you to be virtually useless
- That you don’t build at all actually. Honestly, farming PvE in a zerg doesn’t require anything else than your auto-attack.

Shouldn’t you make this topic in necromancer forum then?

Condition builds will fare worse than power builds in PvE because there is a limit to how many stacks of bleed and torment you can apply, while poison is horrible against monsters because most don’t heal (which defeats the purpose of poison) and it does mediocre damage at best. Power builds on the other hand do not have a cap and are not overly reliant on duration like condition damage is.

A remnant of times past.

Poison would be pretty handy right about now(fighting the Skeletal Lich) unfortunately nobody is applying that. Boon stripping too …

I have an 80 necro and I switched from scepter/dagger staff condition build to a dagger/war horn power build and saw my DPS double. The power build is obviously harder because you are melee instead of ranged but with the healing wells you can have good survivability. Condition builds are not good for world bosses but you can use it a d still get credit you just wont be doing tons of DMG. They are good in dungeons if there isn’t other condition based builds in the group. It is very good in PvP.

Well, if you’re zerging it, there’s bound to be several people present who will repeatedly stack poison without even knowing what it really does. Boon stripping can be accomplished by sword mesmers using their auto attack.
