Dostoev Sky Peak vista -- impossible?
It is not to hard for most people, but an MMO is not a platformer by nature.
If you cannot manage it by yourself, try find a mesmer friend to help you (which is sort of a bad game design I know).

If you are on an EU server, whisper me ingame. We will finish it in less than 2 minutes.
I did it with 3 characters solo… pm me in game and I’ll give you a hand (normally during late afternoon 19-20hs GMT -3, Buenos Aires time). NA Server
It’s not impossible to solo but maybe depending on your class it can has an extra handicap.
It does help if you have someone to do it alongside. As well as stability skills it helps if you have some knockback skills of your own
I recently soloed this with a new Guardian, within the level range. It is a bit difficult, but unless you are using a squishy toon in the appropriate level range, it is quite doable.
I have also levelled 13 80s and this was the first time I did this vista solo. I had to watch videos to even figure out how to go about completing it and spent about an hour trying to figure it out overall.
smack..Wut?…smack…smack…
There is a rather similar one in Southeastern Frostgorge Sound. Those dredge love their views from the catwalks…..
I agree that particular one is PitA, but it’s certainly not impossible to solo. You do realize that you CAN jump past the gate from the higher areas if you take the right angle (you don’t HAVE to go all the way to the top to open that one gate)? The jumps a bit tricky but that shaves off a LOT of fighting.
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances
if you are in a Euro server pm me and i’ll help you with my Mesmer.
PS: I just love the name of this zone. There is so much trivia in this game it’s actually nice to keep finding them out: This location is named after Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

There isn’t much platforming here. Since the OP is using the chains to open the gate there isn’t even any jumping involved.
As for the trick, positioning! Keep your back to the wall when possible or longer stretches of platforms otherwise. There are also boxes/crates around that works as a wall.
Jumping the gate as mentioned above lets you skip one veteran but there is still a second veteran and a mining suit. When you get to veteran with the mining suit walking around wait until the mining suit starts walking away before engaging the veteran. Kill the veteran and wait for the mining suit to walk back and fight it in the same area as the veteran since it is a bigger platform and has walls you can position yourself against.
Then there is the last veteran near the vista. If you want to fight it there should be crates around too but the platform is large enough that if you stay in the center you should not get pushed off. It will also require you to destroy the cannon. Alternatively under the ‘trick’ category you could run up to the vista, log out then log back in hit F. If you do that quickly enough you should be able to grab the vista before aggroing anything but you probably won’t be able to get the nearby chest.
Biggest problem I had with it was finding where it started. The rest was just fighting my way through it, that was the tough part. Easier when you’re 80 with rare or exotic gear.

Easiest way to find the start is doing http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Protect_Explorer_Harlow_while_he_finds_the_Dragon%27s_Eye
The end of the event is near the start of the path to the vista.
it is a pain to do this but absolutly possible, Most important trick is to watch your back and always anticipate a knockback. What also helps is waiting at the starting point and join one or two others that need it too.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
well I always cheated my way to the vista by jumping over a gap you can only get with skills Like warrior sword skill 2 or Ranger greatsword 3.
Ya, i remember this one. I asked a guild member for help. It’s very frustrating! If you’re not in a guild you can /map and request help. One extra person is all it took for me.
you can also just jump over the gate. I know there’s an invisible wall, but if you jump to the side of the gate, there’s a small lip that you catch yourself on.
