So I found a ring titled Dwayna’s Embrace in my pack. Apparently it came in the rewards after I did the event in Malchor’s leap where you take down Dwayna’s statue. I was going to sell it when I saw that the price was 106+ gold. So, doing some research I found out it was part of the Acolyte of Dwayna collection. Trouble is, I can’t find that collection in my achievements panel. I also don’t know where to unlock it. Since it’s in my pack will the ring be in the collection when I finally unlock it? I’d love to sell it — I could use that gold.

Perhaps, it’s unlocked thusly: Unlocked but hidden: these collections are automatically unlocked, but hidden from view until the player binds or consumes at least one of the required items within the collection.

I imagine you will have to bind it for the Collection. Probably why it’s worth as much as it is.

you have to bind it to count for your collection

The ring won’t count towards your collection achievement until you bind it to your account, thereby not allowing you to sell it on the Trading Post.

So, how do I bind it? Use it on a character?

Yes, equip it or consume it. It may have the option ‘Add to Collection’ by right-clicking.

Before you do that though, follow the link above and really think about if you want to work on this collection! Two items are in the 300G price range. If you’re tempted to sell this for 160G, are you willing forego those to instead plan to shell out 600G? If yes – go for it!
