Easy Jute Scrap Farming
I’m not bashing your video, but I’m wonder who exactly needs Jute scraps?
You need some minimal number to get thru the first tier of the armor crafts, but beyond that, they are only useful to promote. Can you actually make decent gold from skill points by promoting Jute bolts again? I know this used to be a quite profitable, but very time consuming skill point to gold conversion method but from my understand has not been so for quite a long time.
Again, not bashing, I’m just curious.

Who needs Jute Scraps? Everyone who wishes to advance through the first 50 levels of either Tailoring, Armorsmithing, and Leatherworking.
If roughly more or less 100 jute scraps is minimal to get beyond the first tier of crafting then sure, but I know several people, including myself, who didn’t want to waste money buying 100 Jute Scraps, nor have the gold even for it at the low levels of crafting that I started to craft. This is also just for tailoring, you’ll need even more than just 100 for the others all together, perhaps even 2.5 or triple that value.
The last time I did promoting, I made 25 gold, and that was through farming for the jute scraps. It took me about a week to get them all, and then promote 5 times with the 1 skill point. So if 25 gold for a week of farming seems profitable than you, then I guess so, if not then, I guess not depends on the person and their preference.
Thanks for the questions and clarifications. Also, I should also note that most of my videos are done by request, if people message me asking how to get jute scraps, which a couple of my friends have, along with a couple of my subscribers, then I make the video. Apart from that, it’s the start of a series where I will be going over the more expensive crafting materials as well. I guess it just felt right to start with the lowest tiers.

I predicting that since this contains a video for the op’s game channel, the thread will be moved to Community Creations.

“I’m wonder who exactly needs Jute scraps?”
Well, I’ve got a baby amorsmith, leatherworker & tailor. They all need seemingly hundreds. Given that they have been above 1 scrap = 1 silver on trading house I would very much like to know how to farm 500+ with minimal tedium. Frankly I’d like to be in the position to sell 5k scraps right now.
Didn’t notice since I get them buy the boat load and simply stuff them into material storage. Then again I salvage all blues and greens and frequent the lower level zones for dailies.

Yea, these little guys are all under 20 & I’m waiting until they’ve levelled their crafting before taking them out again…
In the end .. if its not your first character .. its mostly faster to just farm things like
t3 or t4 metal and wood, sell that and buy the jute from it.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

Well….I convert them to wool, which saves me gold in my damask crafting.

Yes, I get that, but would you actually spend TIME farming Jute (rather than the Wool, Cotton, Linen and MOSTLY SILK you actually need)? I certainly promote all the Jute I get, but I don’t go out and spend time farming it. As I stated, if you need Jute for T1 crafting, that’s understandable, but that (less than 10% of total armor crafting) an promotion to Wool are the ONLY uses for Jute. The other tiers are used beyond 500 armor crafting.
I guess my point is that a video showing players how to farm T2 – T5 cloth would be much more useful but you can never convince some players that materials they farm are NOT really free…..if you look at all your economic choices from the view that your time is worth nothing, then you will never make informed decisions about generating resources.

Knowing how to farm it all is definitely useful, yes.
I guess I look at it differently. I level a lot of characters, so I do a lot of low level farming just in general. Additionally, even when I’m farming on an 80, I do get bored doing one specific thing over and over again(like event training around Orr, or running around SW), regardless of how lucrative it may be, and will quite often hop from area to area and farm the lower level stuff (even jute) as a change of pace. It keeps things fresh, and it keeps me from hitting that DR threshold.

Do AC1/2/3 explorable dungeons in less than an hour, spend proceeds on 500 jute scraps in worst possible case.
