If you formatted your PC the client is gone.
When you start the game it’s downloading the client and all the patches.
It may take some time, depending on your connection speed.

I transferred gw2 client from my bro PC, its not downloading patch/game its downloading something else that always has same value, a 100256kb file(then after that I’m able to play, but its annoying that it has to download it every time I go to play gw2)
perhaps it is verifying the file that you transferred? have you tried letting it finish downloading the file to see what happens?

Check your shortcut, or create a new shortcut on the desktop. (Probably best to delete your old shortcut and make a new one anyway).
Windows 7 (If you are) can be a bit funny.

Maybe I wasn’t clear enough. I want to play gw2, so what I do is click on my gw2 client, and it starts to download 100256kb file, after that I can login and play, but problem is that every time I want to play guild wars I have to wait for gw2 client to download that 100256kb file.
