- level 66 warrior, but I’m only
- level 13 armorsmith
- level 22 weaponsmith

I’ve gotten to the point where I have more than maximum deposited iron ore, so I am holding some in my inventory. I really want to smith iron ore and the ores superior to it. But crafting bronze is taking a really long time.

I feel like I’m doing something fundamentally wrong, or if the game was built this way to make way for depth of crafting like for e.g. in Runescape.

I’ve also started looking to the Black Lion market to buy bronze just to smith them for EXP but after buying a couple hundred bronze bars, I’ve started to realise that I’m making a massive loss and that it’ll take a tonne of money before I can reach the next tier of crafting.

Best site I have seen for crafting guides. This will help you get your crafting done as efficiently and cheaply as possible.

Some people enjoy making their own gear as they level…and I respect that. But GW2 is not really designed to make that easy or even necessary. The only reason for leveling crafting imo is to make ascended/legendary gear for your “end-game” play or to make certain items to sell on the trading post to make money.

In other words, I would not worry too much about crafting at your level, just enjoy the game, use whatever gear drops you get (or buy some cheap green gear off of the TP) and just level crafting as it becomes convenient to do so otherwise trying to keep your crafting level on par with your character level will keep you in a constant state of poverty lol.

Leveling crafting through production isn’t the efficient way to do it. You want to start there but then go to the discovery tab and use those items to find recipes. This will give you a lot of crafting xp. If you have crafting bosters you can use those too. Now you can use that site listed to find the fastest way or you can just play around and find recipes yourself.
