So where do I go from here? I don’t see any point in completing dailies since i got 134k karma that I can’t use for anything. I bought some level 80 excotic gear through lion trade, so I don’t see any need to start a crafting profession. And now I feel that I’m stuck

Explorable dungeons, fractals, crafting or grinding better looking exotics, world exploration (only had 46% explored when I reached lvl80), jumping puzzles, mini dungeons, WvWvW, guild activities. And leveling a multitude of alts.

Explore the world. See stuff you missed earlier, do jumpin puzzles, find secrets. You can also find an armor set you like the look of, and start working towards that, or mix and match pieces to find something unique. Dungeons are available in full at 80. WvWvW is also good fun.

Also if you plan on getting a legendary at some point, you will need a lot more karma.

I’m very casually making my way toward the requirements for a legendary. I’m actually pretty happy with my exotic gear: I work very well in PvE/dungeons/WvW without any legendaries and I don’t really see the need.

Apart from that:
- Getting all crafting to max.
- 100% map completion.
- Actually exploring, i.e. examining locations (not just running past POIs) and talking to NPCs for fun/lore.
- WvWvW is pretty much always fun. Reminds me a little bit of TF2 in that regard, how people play 2Fort over and over and over again without tiring of it.
- Working toward completing all of the dungeons, just because I wanna see them.
- Do Crucible of Eternity runs (I dig the gear from there).
- Jumping puzzles (very behind on these, but I love them).
- Going through the personal story on three different characters: three different races, one for each order.

I would also kind of like to get into roleplay, maybe. A lot of the most lively servers are servers that are known for being roleplay-heavy. But I’m not on one of those and I don’t think anyone’s interested.

The first thing I did was 100% map completion. I started working on getting as many materials as I could on my own to make my exotic staff and 6 pieces of armor (still don’t have jewelry yet, or other weapons I fancy). I also got rather hooked on WvW, which surprised me. Comes and goes in waves. Sometimes it’s fun and profitable and sometimes not so much. I much rather participate, offense or defense, in big crowds where I don’t get singled out. I don’t like it so much when I get singled out, as I don’t perform well alone.

I do gathering for alts. I have a 58th level Ranger as a second character I have been playing up. I decided I wanted some pants from another faction so ran a Guardian up to 27th level and joined the faction so I could buy some legs and double-transmute them over for her.

I like to meander in lower areas and do DEs there. I’m not a big fan of Orr, though sometimes I’ll go to Frostgorge and loiter. It’s not even so much the usual problem that people have with Orr, I just don’t like the mood and mobs. It’s depressing. I wish there were higher level zones that just had ‘people’ in them. Bandits attacking towns, centaurs, green grass, lakes, rivers, trees, maybe a snow covered peak here or there? A Queensdale/Timberline mash-up maybe? So, I often go to those zones to play because I like them.

I’ve never gotten a double-secret pink/brownish precursor leet super crazy windsurfer sized 2 handed greatsword of WoW shoulders-r-small-in-comparison with a side of 20 ectos, but I get enough things to melt and sell, plus dyes, that it doesn’t feel like I’m wasting my time (not much of a min/max person).

I play in lower level zones with friends who recently started. I love that I can pick any character to do it with, whatever my mood is that day.

Guess I’m hardcore time/casual style.

Don’t do 100% map completion if you are a Mesmer. Just saying.

I am not smart. I don’t get the joke.

When you get 100% map completion, you get a little golden star next to your name to display this great achievement to all the world.
Now, as you know, one of the biggest aspects of a Mesmer is making clones. You also likely know that clones rarely, if ever, live much more than a minute in time.
Because of this, a Mesmer’s clones haven’t had the time and experience to traverse the land, discovering every nook and cranny like the Mesmer has. As such, they just aren’t qualified to be allowed to display this golden star next to their names.
So, while a Mesmer is hiding with a group of clones, enemies can easily tell who’s the accomplished world traveler as the only one with a golden star next to their name is the actual Mesmer.

Meaning, a Mesmer with 100% map completion is easy to find because none of their clones get that golden star display.

Wow! I never would have thought about that, but it makes so much sense.
