Lifetime Survivor Question.
Same zone without logging out. There are a couple of posts from a dev about it.
“Earn experience without being defeated, zoning, or logging out. Being downed does not affect progression; the counter resets if you are defeated, without being able to rally. All experience earned counts towards the achievement, including points from crafting and unlocking waypoints. "
Wiki says, so I guess that’s true
Well that’s just hunk dory burst your head annoying waste of time for hours fantastic.
Why isn’t this in the description in the in game achievement panel? Does Anet think we’re psychic? Instead of putting stupid things up in the top right every 2 weeks maybe they should focus on having accurate descriptions of things that have probably been in the game since launch.
If I hadn’t asked here I would have been killing and doing DE’s at random all over Tyria wondering what the hell.
Thanks all above posters

The most sure fire way to do this is to craft. By the time you’ve gained about 5 profession levels, you get the achieve, as well as a lot of crafting skill. (Unless they’ve changed that. I got the achieve by accident on a marathon jewelcrafting session many months ago).
Stock up on crafting mats and use a crafting booster! You’ll get it in no time.
I got it guys thanks. I jumped on the Queensdale zerg train for about 40 minutes then ran around randomly killing eveything I came across and doing any DE. Only took about 2 hours-ish (used 1 XP booster).
Yeah, it’s nothing compared to the Survivor title in Guild Wars 1. There you needed to get 1,337,500 exp without dying. This took WAY more than a couple of hours in a noob zone. While it was possible to game this title also, the people who did it for real really earned it.

Yea, running that boxing mini-dungeon was really hard.

Correct. That was one of the ways to game it, not the way to do it for real.

I saw the REAL way more than once. Players quitting the game when close to death was nothing I consider something to brag about nor consider honorable in the least. I’m not saying nobody did it without bailing at the first sign of trouble, but I do recall it causing me to fail more than a few missions.
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances
