I was just wondering if anyone has had success in shifting an ascended weapon to any of the new stat combinations in HoT

Today I caved and just bought some Maguuma lily’s off the tradepost as I was having no luck with the jungle plants. After making the Trailblazer Orichalcum imbued Inscription and heading over to the mystic forge I noticed it didn’t want to take my inscription, Just the Weapon, Anthology, and Ectos.

Am I missing something, here?

Had the same issue when changing stats to Minstrel. The order has to be correct with the 1st item. I believe if you put the inscription/insig, it will work. I had someone in \map tell me

Not good, did they remove the ability to change to new stats with the patch?

Edit: I think trailblazer was never working.

I filed a support ticket. We’ll see what happens. With everything that’s been taken out lately i’m gonna feel pretty bummed out if I can’t at least change my scepter and focus as demanded by “Raid Meta”

So i’m sure it’s just a bug at this point. The forge will accept my minstrel inscription, just not the trailblazer one. Now to wait for a patch.

The new insignia/inscriptions use a different base recipe and my guess is that they completely forgot to include them as inputs for the forge.

Plus, various devs made a big point of explaining why it was important to be able to swap stats on ascended gear, which was why this new set of MF recipes were added when specializations were introduced to the game.

tl;dr it’s got to be a bug; we just have to wait for anet to fix it.

They use the same recipe, it’s the the trailblazer inscription itself that seems to not be coded for compatibility with the forge or something of the like. Hoping for a batch of fixes next tuesday.
