Guild Wars 2

Ok iam new to all of gw2 can someone help me lvl with a asura necromancer? I dont really understand the game

Very big welcome to you, Razzle.

There’s so much to offer in way of advice or tips etc but great start is reading the forums like you’re doing, browsing the necromancer forums as well for leveling tips & builds and just taking it slow and easy and you’ll learn as you go.

Some general, quick hints…
1) Explore your starter zone (you get reward for completing each map btw)
2) Hearts are like quest hubs but without NPC’s with quest icons – look out for waving people or those seeming intent on moving somewhere or doing something. They often speak to you and tell you what’s going on but it can be easier to miss than many games.
3) Explore and enjoy – Visit the Vistas for views, Jumping Puzzles often offer treasure at end, hidden areas may have a nasty beast guarding hidden stuff.
4) Dynamic Events are great and when you come across one or you’re nearby… go jump in for extra experience, fun and reward at end sometimes. These happen spontaneously or when enough people gather or have changed the world enough to start the event.. often another even follows on from the last so hang about after to see.
5) Explore new zones after a while to get more xp etc as if you stay in same area over and over you’ll suffer diminished returns on xp etc.
6) Try all weapon combos out by putting new weapons in your slots for new skills to learn and see which playstyle best fits you.

Another great way is finding a helpful, willing person on your server who you can just whisper quick questions to or a guild to do the same as this is faster & easier than on a thread like this when there’s so much to slowly pick up.

Great list of tips for general play.. search google for youtube GW2 beginner guide or something similar perhaps if you want to see stuff done.. lots of great (but perhaps more advanced) gameplay vids on youtube.

Finally, Necromancer seems to be quite an advanced class as they’re light armor wearers and have summons, bleeds, condition damage etc to manage but they certainly seem to be powerful but may be tough if you get into trouble while learning game.

I’m a altaholic so only played to level 40ish right now on 4 different characters (Ranger, Guardian, Engineer & Necromancer) but all professions seem great fun to me.

Woooh, just found a very useful list of guides for newcomers that should prove very, very helpful. Lists pretty much everything you need to know to really start getting to grips with the game.
