When you obtain order specific gear, do you unlock the skins for all characters on your account, regardless of Order? Further, can you purchase gear of all armor types? Could my Durmond Priory Guardian unlock Durmand Medium Armor for an Order of Whispers Thief?

Second, is there any good way to go about getting more weapons for the Hall of Monuments in GW1? When I found out about the rewards when the game first came out, I tried to expand my list a little bit, but I found the game had died enough that I was unable to expand my collection in any decent way, since trading was impossible, and parties hard to obtain. If there’s any way to try to trade for any 2 of Tormentor/Destroyer/Oppressor weapons, I’d much appreciate it, as that would round me off at rank 20. I never went for those weapons when I played, I prefer weapons nice and simple in appearance. However, I really want Rank 20 for the Focus skin, because I’m tired of wielding Cowbells at people

No idea about the HoM stuff, but as far as the order items go, yes. All of it is unlocked account-wide via the Wardrobe once you buy it with any character. And yes, you can buy any armor set (or weapons) regardless of whether your character can actually use them or not. You’ll get a “warning” message telling you that you won’t be able to equip that item when you try to buy it, but other than that, no problem.

Mind you, it is just the skin that you unlock. The actual items are soulbound to the character who buys them, so you can buy the Medium Priory armor with your Guardian, but you won’t be able to actually trade the armor set to your Thief. You’ll have to transmute another set with the appearance.

There are still guilds in Guild Wars 1 that are active. And there’s still trading going on. Not as much as there once was, but it’s definitely still doable.

That’s the second thing I did after they introduced the wardrobe system in April… the first was to create a bunch of level 1 characters to unlock the class-specific starter skins.

Yes you can unlock all types of order armor with 1 character of that order (so you need at least 1 character in each order), I’m planing in doing that with all orders and armor type,it will cost 79.92g to unlock all armors.

About the weapons in GW1 for the HoM, if I remember correctly, when you finish the War in Kryta in the GW:Beyond story you get enough material for 1 oppressor weapon.

How long does the War in Kryta plot take? It might be fun to grab some friends to play it with. And I think I read that you can get 2 weapons for that. Think I might be able to trade one of those weapons for another kind for some extra points?

Play time is kinda short, depends a lot of how you play, in a bit intensive weekend you can finish it.
You can get more weapons, but finishing it you get material enough for 1 weapon for sure, you may be lucky with drops and have war supply enough to convert into a 2nd oppressor weapon.

Have you tried playing in the American districts in GW1?

I stuck to Euro-English right up until GW2 came out, then I gave in and switched to American-English (which has always been where most people were). In those districts it’s still pretty busy, Kamadan gets to 2 or 3 districts even at off-peak times and that’s mainly people trading.

To find parties you’re probably best off joining a guild or focusing on whatever is the Zaishen mission that day, but it’s definitely possible.

Checked the game, and it seems I have enough undedicated Minis that I’ll be able to get the Non-Cowbell focus skin just ‘sideways’ trading, so it’s just a matter of finding people who can sideways trade with me.

I might also have a friend willing to do the War in Kryta with me, so that’ll be fun and profitable.

an easier way to get the weapons achievements done (if you have Eye of the North expansion) is to just craft destroyer weapons. Those can be obtained by simply having the right materials (which you can buy off of merchants/artisans). Since you are only looking to get the points for the credit, it doesn’t really matter if you use tormented or destroyer or oppressor. Get the same credit for each
