I had my account hacked about a month ago. Since then, while talking to random people I come across it seems like they often ignore me completely. They don’t seem to be bots. I’m wondering if my account was used for spam, and consequently many people put me on ignore? I also tried whisper to test this, but did not get a message indicating I was on ignore. Is there a way to tell?

There isn’t really. No one speaks in this game anyway. It’s the strangest MMO I’ve ever played in my 34 years.

It’s like everyone has Antisocial Personality Disorder, so don’t feel bad people just aren’t sociable in this game. They could remove the chat box all together and it wouldn’t change a thing

May I ask what server you’re on?
It sometimes just depends on what server either with more/less chatty people. I know some people you can meet up with if you want people to game with.

If you think you were ignored by the server, maybe change servers. You won’t have the problem on another server.

Odd, I haven’t had any problem striking up conversations with people when I /w or invite them into a group. Sometimes you run into players who just don’t talk but that’s not the majority from what I’ve seen.

I do tend to initiate more of the conversations, I see it as a two-way street. If I want to talk to people I’ll start doing it myself. I don’t always expect other people to take the initiative.

Thanks for the input folks, and thanks for the invite Glitch. I’m on henge of denravi, my brother and his friend are on the server so I’m not all by my lonesome. And maybe 10-20% of the people will talk and are very nice when spoken to, but most ignore it seems. We’ll maybe look into another server even though I like the high population here, thanks again.

I often do not talk in chat because I am constantly being attacked over doing an event. When I am in Lion’s Arch or a safe town I will chat other wise I end typing things like this

person 1: where is that event?
me: it is locatwwwwwwww1222222ddddddasswsswwww

Not a good way for the fight or the chat.
