Guild Wars 2

Hey there everyone!
I’m a returning player as of about three weeks ago, Decided to delete all of my characters and start afresh on a new server. Got a mesmer to 80 and completed one HoT Map, but was not happy with my character so over the last two weeks i have been trying to decide on what profession to play.

A little bit of backstory and effort I have put in so far. Used to play Necromancer around about a year ago which was 80 and quite fun being a 20/20/0/0/30 deathshroud WvW roamer. That was alot of fun, but as you can tell alot has changed since then! Before that I played Mesmer but was put off due to the lack of mobility when just running from point to point, which was deleted shortly after the Runes of the Traveler where released and i could not afford them due to gold burning that hole in my pocket!

Since i have returned i tried out mesmer again, This time Chronomancer, which was very fun and fixed what I disliked about mesmer, but something did not feel right still. After that a revenant was chosen but I did not enjoy the play style of swaping utilities though it is a awesome mechanic. I have also tried out a theif, Mainly in spvp with a Staff dodgey build which aslong as it wasn’t 1v1 was great fun, not to mention mobile!

And that is where i’m left at currently.

I’m looking for people’s oppinion on classes, due to what i am currently looking for. Which i will lay out in the following:

- Suitable Mobility: 25% movement speed and maybe a port or leap is very much plenty. E.G Chronomancer minor trait and Blink.
- Sustainability for 1v1: Nothing insane but better than my glaring flaw in the theif, Not enough buffs to help itself.
- Ability to be used in multiple areas of the game simultainiously: I Realy would like to do a fractal one minute then be able to jump into WvW or Spvp the next. I don’t mind holding extra gear sets. Not sure if this is an issue anymore though? (As when i played necro they where not welcome in 5 player PvE)

Revenant (Herald).
Really, there’s nothing more to be said.

I know you said you didn’t like the mechanic, but it’s really not a big thing. Unless you’ve tried out Glint, imho, you cannot form a right opinion about it. It changes everything for the Revenant.

Herald is without a doubt THE most all around class to play at this point.

Otherwise, i second Dunecoon.

Personally, Ele is great in both PvP, WvW, and PvE. The 1v1, as far as I know, is still one of the best in the game. Might stack is fantastic, and survivability is great.

Other than than , Guardian is fun.
