Guild Wars 2

So i’ve had the game for around a year or so, and i haven’t really gotten to play it due to a craptastic computer. But i just looked a little earlier today and saw i was on the Sea of Sorrows server. I’ve been seeing that its an oceanic server so i was curious if that was true or not. I live in the Central U.S, so i just wanted to know if i should get on another time frame or attempt to switch servers eventually.

With the new megaserver system it will mostly matter if you want to WvW because that remains something bound to your “official” server. To a lesser extent it will matter if you want to interact with the same people a lot (see: RP) because the megaserver does try to load people of the same server into a map, with varying amounts of success. As of tomorrow’s patch, it won’t matter at all for guild membership perks because those will be cross-server.
