Does anyone know if this sigil has an effect on the duration of daze? I saw elsewhere that people where saying it effects knockdown…
Thanks.
I am curious about this matter as well now. It piqued my interest and now i also wonder if they stack. If you got 2 of these is it +30%?
Knockdown, launch, stun, daze were considered stun effects for other skills and traits so i gamble the answer that yes, it does affect daze.
Stun and daze are two completely separate things. You can still move while dazed but you can’t while stunned.
While stun and knockdown share the same effect the game definitely doesn’t consider them to be the same thing either since it uses a different animation for each.
I thought I saw a sigil that specifically increased the length of daze. Just logged off for the night but if no one else knows I’ll look around first thing in the morning.
I just wanted you to know that I was doing some testing with this on the PvP dummies and there was a notable increase in the duration of daze when I had one sigil of paralyzation on the OH weapon.
The duration increased a bit more when I put another one on the MH weapon, but I have yet been able to grab a stop watch and try to time it…because they don’t provide any adjustment in the info box for either the active state of the skill on an enemy or the skill info… I also equipped the Mesmer Runes and there was a bit more of an increase…
Counting w/ the Mississipi method I got around 4 and what seemed like a .5 (4.5 total) seconds duration…pretty waffling good for beating on someone!
I realize that the base daze duration is 2 seconds and the total ‘%’ bonus is 63’%’…but it sure seemed like 4.5 seconds duration…again, that is counting by mouth and human error is unavoidable…

@ Scribe, there isn’t one specifically for Daze, but if you are interested, the Paralyzation one appears to work for it.
Might want to try that with different skills inflicting the daze. Preferably different professions too. Because bugs.
Using a recording program like fraps and then stepping through the frames would probably be more accurate than a stopwatch since that will take your reaction time out of the equation.
Interesting. 15% is such a tiny amount though considering a base of 1-2 seconds, you don’t even get a half second. If it like doubled the daze that would be one thing and might actually be really useful for my build. I mean, it seems like any time I get dazed/stunned/knocked down/immobilized by a mob it’s for like 4-6 seconds, and the best I can do is 1 maybe 2.
