Guild Wars 2

Okay, first of all, this is terribly embarrassing. I also didn’t know where else to post this, but this place seemed the most relevant and friendly. If there’s an appropriate section on the forum, do feel free to move it.

So, here goes. It was late at night and I was getting tired. I had saved up all my money to buy the Vigil Gauntlets, heavy armor for my Warrior. I ended up having to ask a friend to lend money as well just to make the purchase.
However, I ended up buying the Vigil Gloves, the light armor! It’s Soulbound, I can’t wear it, I can’t sell it, I can’t salvage it. I still have it in my inventory, is there a possibility for it to be removed and substituted for the heavy counterpart (which costs the same amount of coin) or it be removed and the coins refunded?

I know mods are probably busy fixing bugs, it’s really no rush, I need the gloves for cosmetic reasons, but I can’t really make enough income to buy them again. I would appreciate any and all help..

Anet has a no refund policy for in game purchases.

This is one of the downsides of not having a sub fee. You can’t hire a large number of people to handle the thousands of tickets for erroneous purchases, so they have to put a blanket rule down to limit the workload. You’re just going to have to be more careful in the future and double or triple check everything.

I doubt that Anet would be willing to switch them out for you, but there is no harm in trying. Send them a ticket and see if they can help you. The worst thing they can do is say no.
