Honestly in a bind at the moment. Playing both i’ve seen I do have the potential to play them both at my own desire, but I’m mostly concerned about WVW.

I understand that if I want to faceroll solo I should play a Thief, but i’m told Ele hold its own.

So far in the testing of SPVP I’m not doing too well on the damage side of ele but I am getting the attunement swapping down.

Since I cannot play these professions in WVW at level 80 I decided to come here to gain an idea of what’s what.

What do you want to do in wvw? If primarily solo roaming, go with the thief. I love my ele in a zerg situation and that’s about it.

I’d like to roam and kill off stragglers and what not. I wouldn’t mind joining a siege or a zerg every blue moon but I mostly want to kill others.

I do want to take hold of everything WvW has to offer me, and I want to be able to take on 3 or more people in a roaming situation. Only if I manage to kill one I want to be able to do it.

Ele in WvW is mainly for zerg nuking with a staff. Anyone with enough experience in any class can kill a solo Ele of equal skill. Basically if you solo WvW don’t Ele, if you Ele don’t solo WvW.

Thieves are one of the strongest classes for WvW soloing on the other hand, and they constantly swap positions with mesmers for this honour. However, they’re also not very useful in zergs, relative to Eles.

Choose one. You can’t have both.
