Condition damage/toughness/precision gear is absurdly hard to get at 80 compared to most (if not all) of the other stat combinations. If I want a full set of it, I need to find Khilbron’s (wherever the heck that junk drops), or grind my life away for dungeon vendor pieces.

i completely agree. i am running conditions on crit build with my engineer and i find it absurd that that armor is hard to get and expensive compared at all the rest

You can craft the armor yourself (with whatever stats you want) , you are lucky its quite cheap in this game.

Except you can’t. The Rabid prefix is not available via crafting.

You can’t even craft Rabid gear, actually. I don’t even know how you’re supposed to get Rabid jewels.

I defend ANET for a lot of things but this, I cannot. Heh. Would really like some official statement on this.

AFAIK The order of whispers armor merchant sells this but only in rare form (another fail), and I just know that as soon as I drop the 8gs on it to buy the whole set they’ll make a patch that makes exotic Rabids more accessible. Sigh.

Except it was posted in the bugs forum because the rabid prefix cannot be crafted nor found on random loot like other item prefixes. Surely that’s a bug.

Any update whether Anet will release rabid earrings, rings, accessory PvE counterpart?

It is available in sPvP like other stat set.

I wonder why they have exotic tough/prec/cond armor set acquirable via karma, dungeon, gold while for earrings, rings, accessory its only “green”.

“rabid” exotics are available as token rewards from arah, coe and ta. If you do all 3 paths in each dungeon you can get a full set of weapons and armor in 3-4 days.

They are also availiable from karma vendors at the various temples.

trinkets do not exist afaik.

^I think i mentioned in my last comment that “rabid” armor set can be acquired in various ways, but exotic “rabid” accessories, amulet and rings are nowhere to be found (well except in sPvP).

The question is why exotic “rabid” trinkets are not available in PvE whereas other trinkets of varying stats are available.

OR, no one has found where you can get them yet because it’s a super secret and Anet don’t want to give it away.

That would be very stupid provided we all know where to find these for pieces of armor … especially that we have a rabid jewel in sPVP

I guess we should be thankful they didn’t remove those from the game as well.

I don’t get the point : why having ways to get pieces of armor with those stats and no jewels ? Especially that we can have in sPvP. Doesn’t make sense to me. Would be even worse to remove those on Arah map.

By Rabid are you perchance talking of the Ravaging gear, cause if not I need to start looking into this Rabid gear…

Ah no I was correct whilst mistaken… the ravaging set is in the table about that with only the 2 stats.

And while I’ve never seen Rabid – I’m still more interested in the Rampagers set myself. Thanks though for clearing that up for me.

I found green accessories with rabid prefix on the Arah map … but could not find rings or amulets in the same case. If somebody know where we can find some, thanks.

I think it’s intended, because condition damage is a terrible stat, and we all know it. Giving people access to purposely bad gear is bad, and A-net doesn’t want to do it. If they ever fix Condition Damage to be on par with the other stats, then maybe they’ll also make it easier to find.

I can assure you i’m able to kill most players with my condition build both wvw and spvp so i just assume you dont know what the hell are you talking about,

but thxs for your input…
