i am not sure if this belongs here, but i have a few things i am not really certain about

1) in PoF, they are going to add new elite specializations — will we be unable to train a second elite specialization if we already unlocked the first one?

i know that you can only use one elite specialization at a time as it goes in the third build slot, but if i were to unlock herald traits and skills in HoT, would this prevent me from putting hero points into renegade traits and skills?

2) on this page it mentions sales on items that are not currently in the shop, will they be added the day of the sale? will the ones that are currently available be removed when their sale day is over?

3) is there a way to inspect the equipment of another player?

4) if i purchased the expansions and my friend did not, am i able to send him items in the mail / trade him? or would he have to buy the expansion too in order to receive anything?

1. Yes, you can train both Herald and Renegade for your Revenant. Obviously you have to buy PoF for Renegade elite, and you unlock it from PoF content. HoT expansion provides enough Hero Points for one elite and PoF will have enough hero Points for other elite spec.

There are actually much more HP in the game then required to unlock every single trait and skill. For example my character has over 300 HP unspent after unlocking everything core game and HoT has.

2. Black Lion Trading sales are usually timed. New items appear, old ones disappear. Sometimes old ones are brought back later. Sometimes not.

3. No. You can talk/whisper to them and ask what they are wearing. Many players are happy to show off their equipment but you can not see it yourself.

4. You can send him items and trade with him, but if you send/give him expansion-specific items he may not be able to do use them. You have to be more specific with your question.

i have another question, i am sorry if double posting is against the rules — i browsed the code of conduct but did not find anything about it, and i feel that making a new thread just for one question when i already have this one open might be too clutter-y

is it possible to preview dye options on outfits from the gem store? i know that previewing armor skins usually applies your current dye to the preview (i think?), but when i preview actual “outfits,” in the wardrobe or from the gem store, it does not apply my dye selections to them.

it also just occurred to me that they could simply be undyeable. is this the case? if not, is there a way to preview dye selections on outfits i have not yet purchased?

Yes, you can preview outfit dyes in the dye tab the same way as armor. You may have to click on the outfit in the dye tab to get the UI to show that instead of your armor. ALL outfits are dyeable and usually have 4 channels. While you can preview locked outfits and locked dyes, you cannot preview-dye outfits you don’t own.

Sorry, I do not know any way to look at the dye options on outfits you do not own yet. I only got 1 outfit – Royal Guard Outfit and it has 4 areas to dye. This obviously does not mean every other outfit can be dyed too.

rats, that is what i was afraid of. it would be a nice feature to have; dyes look really different depending on the base armor/outfit so i am hesitant to purchase one if i am not sure it would look how i want it to.

thank you both once again!
