i need an exotic hammer really bad but it cost 2gs on the TP where else can i get or earn one i never have that kinda gold level 80 would like to find a healing power, toughness , power, or precision

2 gold is really cheap….

The stats you describe corresponds to the Cleric prefix, unfortunately you cant get cleric weapons fron dungeons. The fastest way is to farm CoF, 2 runs per day over 2 days or 1 per day over 3 days and buy the item through TP.

path1 = 10-20 mins

And 2g is really easy to make in GW2. Like Orion says, farm CoF. If you have trouble getting into a group to do the dungeon, another way is to farm events at Shelter and Pentinent in Orr. You can rake up enough gold by selling stuff you found there in a few runs.

Do you sell mats you collect on the trading post? Some go for a pretty good price. Try the higher level zones and farm events and mobs. Sell whatever you get on the trading post. It’s quite possible to get good money that way.

Also be sure and party up whenever possible and all of you target the same mobs. Not only do you farm faster but the drop are improved if you party up.

Another thing to do is to find out what mats are needed to craft what you want, get these together by farming or buying and either craft it yourself or get a guild member to craft it. That’s almost always cheaper for the high level items.

Another option is map completion of 1(if you are lucky) or 2(if you are not) of the Orr maps. Not necessarily the fastest but just selling the rewards from that would be enough for the 2g. If you are really lucky you might even get a Superior Rune of Divinity out of it.

well if you have full ascalon gear already you can do some more for dungeon weapons.

You can get:
healing power major, precision, vitality from AC, TA or HoTW
toughness major, power, precision from SE and Arah
power major, toughness, vitality from AC, SE or HoTW

Outside of those your best bet if crafting or TP, as others said 2g isnt THAT much, most rares sell around the 30s mark and there fairly easy to find and dungeons give reasonable money (if you don’t die constantly).

I’m only level 44 and I can make that in 2 days just casually leveling by collected all drops and selling them

Mats is short for crafting materials and yes ectos would be lumped in with them

Mats (materials) are all the miscellaneous stuff that creatures drop, such as venom sacs, blood, claws, bones, and stuff like ore and wood which are used in crafting. The Tier 5 mats generally average 1 silver plus some copper each. The Tier 6 ones might be as much as 20 plus silver each but they drop much more rarely. When you get mats to sell, your best bet is to sell them on the trading post, matching the lowest seller not the highest buyer. If you are willing to wait for your money but get more, then sell for more than what the lowest seller is asking.
